Man, I am goin' campin' with my friends for 3 days, it's gonna be crazy! Even though I don't normally like to camp, this should be pretty fun. woot.

HomesickAtSpaceCamp 08-05-2005 12:05 PM

im going camping in two days.........

Fenixpunk 08-05-2005 12:08 PM

camping is one of my favorite things to do. heres our set-up:the 5 person tent is ours, the pup tent is for the kids to play in, but theyre still a little to freaked out to sleep in it at night, so they end up in ours.(and i didnt realize the pic was so big, so sorry about that)

Haha...good luck then.
I had my first camping-experience this summer (I slept in a tent before. One night. When I was 8. In my best friend's garden. That doesn't count. Nevertheless I thought it was horrible.). It was on a festival, two nights. It worked, I'm sooo proud of myself.
Because:
I'm neither technically talented, nor a nature-freak. I HATE all kind of insects (especially spiders. Arachnophobia or something like that) and dirt for sure. I need my daily shower in the morning. Hmmm, there on the festival camping ground, we had only a water container to brush our teeth. On a grain field. In the mud. In the evening. (Fortunately, the next morning we found some showers in a near-by elementary school, puuuh).
Anyway, we got the tent arranged within ten minutes (*high five*), nothing's got lost on the way (no thieves there, only PEACE & LOVE!) and I found some real good sleep on my airbed, in my cold sleeping bag - with my ear-plugs for sure. I didn't even hear the f***ing drunken bastards outside our tent crashing into it at least a thousand times.

Edited: I have to correct myself.
Spiders are no insects.
(Maybe that explains why they're even more disgusting to me. Two more legs. Eight legs. Eeeew.)

blech .. i hate camping. maybe its cuz ive only gone with my family... maybe its because
pissing in a coffee can is not appealing to me..

Fenixpunk 08-05-2005 12:45 PM

why would you piss in a coffee can when your camping?

PhishFood 08-05-2005 12:56 PM

yeah there's plenty of woods out there..... Ihaven't been camping in a long time...

Imonlydancing 08-05-2005 12:57 PM

mhm, i haven't been camping in a long while, but when i went when i was little, i lost my polly pocket *cries* sucked. I also remember drinking beer...and skipping lots...
ooh another time, we camped in my friends garden, and at about 1 in the morning we went to a 24/7 gas station thin***, and we were walking back and some odd men shouted out of their car, went round the block, came back and parked at the end of the road, we were shyat scared, so we ran reaaalllyyy fast back to the house, and went into the tent...mhm...scary, but very...excitable.

Ahhh, camping , a beautiful combination of two of my two favorite things: fire and beer.

All_Nite_Dinah 08-05-2005 09:11 PM

I went camping last weekend, and My girlfriend and I took about a week off a while ago and went north to duluth/superior/canada area to go camping. I love camping its super fun, and I love cooking a a camp fire. I think I might be camping out one night this weekend too.

I've only gone camping once and didn't find it that much interesting. A group of us with some teachers went for a school camp out, but me and my friends where bored, so silly me decided to go in the caves where we wern't aloud.

We got caught climbing over the fence into the cave and we would of been facing suspension, but I knew the teacher loved Astronomy, so i started asking what each star was and pretending to be interested. :) 1 hour later, he let us off and said just don't do it again. Hehe....I was very smart!

Well, That's not fun at all!!! The point of camping is to remove yourself from the people or things that stress you out in everyday life.

2100 08-05-2005 09:22 PM

Well yeah I kind of relaxed back, but i'm the type of person that I like everyone to rely on, you know if someone needs help with computers, i'm there to help. But anyway it turned out to be alright, you never know I might do it again...

Camping is awesome! One of my favorite activities. Not talking about that garbage of being in a "campgrounds" with a million and one of your not-so-closest friends. I'm talking about being in the middle of no-where in a tent or handmade shelter and living off the land.

HomesickAtSpaceCamp 08-06-2005 02:16 PM

hand made shelter....hmmmmmm........ it would suck if it rained and you didnt build the shelter very good............ but i guess a good camper would check the weather first :)

phoenixflames 08-06-2005 11:36 PM

Or build a good shelter... ;)

HomesickAtSpaceCamp 08-07-2005 07:43 AM

that could work too!
