I've designed a few office containers, fully insulated with HVAC, full electrical packages, stretched, windows, doors, and a host of other amenities, but we've pretty much stayed away from the residential aspect of it all, being that I'm not a licensed architect. Plus, it's a bit of a niche market.

^ Wow! you've actually been to Reykjavik?! My guess is that you're the only person on MB who can say that; what were you up to, I wonder?

Yes, I also really like Frownland's house - the basic, chunky disposition of shapes, the projections over, and to the sides of, the windows, and all those clean simple lines.
The latter are very difficult to achieve when you remember how a building has to incorporate all sorts of pipes, drains, gutters and cables.

Not the most dramatic of architectural styles, but I've always had an inexplicable affection for those 1930s art-deco houses with curved walls. I think this style went
all over the world, so maybe there's one near you....

I was there in May/June 2015. They used to have free 5-day layovers in Reyjavik if you were travelling to Europe so we took advantage of it. amazing place, I would definitely go back just to travel and camp the interior of Iceland. The landscape and climate of the island is unlike anything ive seen before. no vegetation, the coldest winds ive ever experienced (and im from fucking Canada) and active volcanoes/geisers mixed with hot springs and waterfalls all around. id highly recommend going there if you ever get the chance - Reykjavik itself is quite expensive tho, but certainly worth it

Abbey Road Studios snapshot, I took this and found my p.o.v was unique, of this iconic doorway.
What happened was, the people who hired me hired by Universal who owns this site put my offices and cloak room and facilitates in the car park/parking lot outside and this was captured of their front door by me for my instagram real quick on some stairs that were erected there at the time when there was construction going on.
I'm rather proud of this p.o.v I took a snapshot from on my lunch break.

The Mid-Atlantic Ridge is 10,000 miles long, and Iceland is the only place on the planet where it is high enough to be above sea-level. It looks like this and is one of the great places of pilgrimage for anyone who is geology-minded I should think:-

Welcome to MB, L with a G We don't have many posters in this thread with such hands-on experience in construction, and I liked your collection of photos - especially the blurred one of Big Ben.

Personally, I don't like The Gerkin, but your photos of it are very good. I've never seen a pic of it from the inside, either; surely it isn't all through the building that the external wall is seperate from the floors, as in your photo ?
