Why? You can just emulate that **** and not have to deal with a bunch of extra systems you'll never use and cartridges that take up too much space and you've clearly already lost those plastic things that cover the bottom cause everyone does.

OccultHawk 10-16-2017 07:51 PM

I wonder what percent of internet users are regulars at some sort of semi-anonymous forum like this one. Is it like a secret a lot of people have?

[MERIT] 10-16-2017 09:52 PM

Internet search history is the least of your worries. You know how cops plant guns and drugs on people? Just as easy for them to plant kiddie porn or radical Islamic terrorist bullshit on your PC if they ever search it.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 10-16-2017 09:55 PM

why plant what’s already there?

Do you know how easy it is to recover things that have been "deleted" from your hard drive? To REALLY get rid of data, you have to overwrite that space with multiple layers of random binary code. There are free programs to do this.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 10-16-2017 10:01 PM

the worst thing ive ever looked up on my computer is probs irl gore stuff or isis ****. cant think of anything worse. i’m pretty clean when i’m not using the public ones at the library.

OPERA web browser has a built-in VPN. TOR & RoTOR web browsers bounce your IP address across international nodes for privacy.

[RoTOR is a TOR clone, but is no longer available online. I have a copy though, if anyone is interested].

For sure.

I wouldn't want the hackers to steal my dank memes.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 10-16-2017 10:38 PM

memes don’t happen in a vacuum

[MERIT] 10-16-2017 10:40 PM

Has anyone else explored the "Dark Web"?

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 10-16-2017 10:41 PM

You can buy all kinds of things: drugs, weapons, passports/ID's, stolen/copied information, counterfeit currency, services [hacking, murder]. It usually has to be paid for with BitCoin. It's like the underground black market / wild west of the internet.

Paedantic Basterd 10-16-2017 10:58 PM

The deep web scares me because I can guess how much of it is kiddie porn.

Not as much as you'd think. Maybe 1% of what I've seen advertised on the dark web is talking about kiddie porn. Not saying it's not there. I'm sure if you look for it hard enough, you'll find it. Everything listed for sale [as far as guns and drugs go] is horrendously overpriced, but I guess it's the law of supply and demand.

[MERIT] 10-16-2017 11:09 PM

I check it out from time to time to see if there are any anonymous posts with information that needs to see the light of day.

Lucem Ferre 10-17-2017 12:32 AM

Oh noooooo, people will find out I watch bestiality, incest, transexual and hermaphrodite porn. Other than oddly specific gore photo searches that's the worst of it. That's the least of things in my life I want to kill myself for.

bulbasaur 10-17-2017 01:08 AM

interesting selection to group together

Lulz maybe there's deep web targeted advertising and you're not in their segments.

Church.

Lucem Ferre 10-17-2017 10:20 AM

I have a deep web browser but I've never used it. Forget why and when I got it. Probably won't ever use it. Don't think I have a need from anything there yet.
