You know it only came in in 2015, right? Like, it wasn’t there before. Big corporations don’t seem too happy about it though.

It's a business related thing. Hopefully, broadband providers won't mess with consumers too much given they're competing with each other in some areas (like mine thankfully).

If they do mess with consumers though, you may see a drop off on sites like this, especially with the American contingent.

a free market argument doesn't hold any water here precisely because ISPs have very little competition and this itself is created by the gov out of the impracticality of having a new ISP dig up your neighborhood every year
