You really do have to have some thick skin to survive around here. From what I've seen, most of us try to tone it down when interacting with new members, but the majority of us are set in our ways. I've been here so long [coming up on 14 years] that many of my memories of this place start to blend together LOL.

Trying being "under" as your first account. People were ruthless back then.

I feel like the old man of the sea around here LOL. I was like 17 when I joined. I deserved every bit of hate that I got back then. There were some nice guys. Right-Track, LacesOutDan, Snickers/Trauma, FenixPunk. Urban was always an asshole, that was the only real constant.

Man, I wish there was a logbook of name changes so I could remember who I used to fuck with on here.

Let me know which you think it is.

Probably true, but the thing that's most disappointing to me is how little of the activity on this site go towards actual music threads. People argue about **** all day in the news story and "your day" threads, but it's an uphill battle to get consistent involvement in something music related. Quite ironic for a music forum.

It's all about people taking the time and interest to participate in threads as well as opening them. Sometimes I feel even my efforts are a waste of time, when people don't get involved in the threads I make, but by and large, I think most people are making an effort. Comes and goes, of course. People get interested, lose interest. Sometimes it's hard even for me to keep the interest. That's a lot of instances of the word interest, isn't it? Interesting.

I'm very interested in the album threads, but some days I can't focus on it. It's allright, as I can just do a handful albums in one day when I feel like catching up again. Without those threads of yours, the music part of the forum would be mostly crickets.

This is the only forum or social media outlet I use.

I hate even trying to read reddit.

If you can't be taught, teach.

Ah man I remember all those names. Urban was honestly in his prime ******* days back then. He'd ban you just for saying a swear word if he wanted to.

Good ol' IAmAlejo as well. Anither OG admin. He has had Muck Fusic as his user title for as long as this site has been around.

I would also say (and this isn't a criticism: I know much of what you're talking about comes from the slowdown on your Rock Survivor threads) that if you involve yourself more you'll see there is still quite a lot going on. Some threads thrive, some die, but one thing is always constant, and always will be: my terrible dad jokes. Surely those at least at worth hanging around for?
Hello?
HELLO????

Now I know what drives people away

Actually, I'm glad the mods are cracking down (not on you, I hope, Bats). Maybe now we'll talk more about music :)

Ooh wow another gem. Aah daydreaming about people you don't know who posted regularly on a forum you're on ten years ago. Btw throwback to your life ten years ago.

I'd also like to point out that a lot of the discussion seems to take place in the journals nowadays, which is crazy since the journal section used to be dead. I agree that the music discussion is very minimal, but the community here is awesome enough to the point that whatever we talk about, it can be fun. I would go as far to say that the community here that we have is far more important to keep around over making sure we always talk about music. Yes, it is a music forum, but there's a reason we have other sub forums.

So...I dont necessarily agree that this site has lot steam. I just think we're becoming more of a general discussion forum, which I'm totally fine with.
