At IU there’s a cookie baking store that delivers called “Baked”, so one would commonly say to their friends “let’s get baked!” while hammered on a Friday and call them for delivery. That place got SLAMMED on weekends, we’re talking the delivery would be estimated at 2+ hours even at like 1 am

One night in particular I remember ordering Baked...while baked, and this was very early in my smoking career so I still got absolutely blasted... and I swear they were the greatest thing I ever tasted

"Joint Burger" and it's a unified McDonald's/Burger King where the employees compete to give customers blank stares until they go eat at the less hostile store.

There are like a handful of places dotted around the core cities. But it's growing quite quickly.

So you're saying that where you live, burger joints are.....rare?

The Batlord 08-24-2018 12:07 PM

How come they don't fry beef? Is that a thing they tried and then pretended never existed because it was so awful?

Gotcha. I've never even really thought about what it'd be like to not have burger joints. Theyre all over where I live.

You both get a F- for completely missing the joke, but you still get a cookie for participation.

The Batlord 08-24-2018 12:23 PM

The **** is a balti house? Is that where the Baltics invite you into their homes for dinner but when you get there they spend two hours warning you about Putin?

it used to be a nice whole brickini (sandwich, with fancy bread) like once every two weeks and then Chinese food also or at least one other restaurant in the month. but recently, ive stopped buying from that brickini place because they were getting too sloppy with it. itd be a bit soggy and stuff. still would taste wonderful but just be a mess.

Medium to well done....... I eat organic burgers :)

Chula Vista 08-24-2018 11:14 PM

Order well done, or even medium, and end up with the worst cut of beef possible.

FACT.

DwnWthVwls 08-25-2018 05:35 AM

Ive never been to a place in the US that doesnt ask how you want your burger cooked except for fast food. It's surprising to hear it's not the same in the motherland.

The cut of beef remains the same regardless of how it is cooked though.

Not in a restaurant. Doesn't really apply to burgers though.

I forgot topside transforms into brisket if cooked for too long.

Frownland 08-25-2018 09:47 AM

They'll give you old cuts of meat because you won't notice it when they overcook it.

Medium isn't overcooked. And if it was old you could tell.

Frownland 08-25-2018 10:07 AM

If it was starting to turn then you could taste that more easily when it's rare. Only applies to steaks though, pretty sure they use the same meat for burgers.

Once is one time too many. Never mind their religious stance, but they discontinued their ****ing cole slaw. One of their few redeeming qualities.
