Default Sounds Natural

I'm sure most of us here have occasionally reached that point of excess when you feel that you just can't listen to any more music for a while. Well, one way to refresh the ears is to go back to the simple things: really listen to a door creaking or a bird singing. Somewhat in that spirit, I was very pleased to come across this video clip yesterday:-

Anyone else have some sounds or experiences they'd like to share?

Yes, Plankton, it's your chance to show us what this sounds like :-

Of course there is the related -but separate- topic of sound effects as used in music. MB has already covered that subject, thanks to Trollheart's thread here:-

a chain net would be so dope
that dude ice skating on the water is nuts, ice was so easy he could break it with a stick. interesting sounds though that the skating makes, maybe its the ice moving?

^ Nice clip, Mindfulness! I wonder how many times they took the shot before he landed a basket.

Yes, I'm guessing that pinging sound is the ice taking the strain of the skater and/or cracking.

EDIT: I thought I'd look for a clip of creaking boots to make a comparison with the sound of ice, but then could resist posting this instead:-

I am but a servant here in this vast auditory environment. Take it to the cochlear.

^ HaHa! Even though I've never played disc golf, there's something quite satisfying about that sound - and if I do ever play, I'm now ready with the jargon thanks to you: Take it to the cochlear!

*cough*

I really enjoy low traffic on very wide roads or in places with a lot of space in between the buildings on the opposite side of the road. There's a cool reverb to it.

That has nothing to do with disc golf, it was just a way of saying "Hear this", or "Put this sound in your ear hole". Unless, of course, you were making a joke that I totally missed.

Sweet chain music, nonetheless.

Not very original, but I like the sound of rain.

I don't really have that issue. I listen to a lot of things that fit what your describing on a regular basis. Hangdrum instrumentals, cathartic chorals, ambient meditation, and zen soundscapes are standard background playlists I use while im gaming, which break up the focused listening I do while driving or relaxing before bed.
