Gardening

Any forumistas into gardening? What are you growing this year?

Banty posts I'm sure are incoming but hopefully there are other people on here who enjoy this sort of thing.

Do you plant tulips?

Parting tulips with your tool is one of the greatest pleasures in life.

I have one plant that has managed to escape my death grip of neglect for few years now. It's a ficus.

I love to garden but I haven't the space nor the direct sunlight.

I've had some success with different squash varieties in containers but it's a hobby I've set on the backburner until I move somewhere more accommodating.

What are you growing, Fluff?

Well done mate. It feels good when you keep it alive for ages without hurting it :)

Just a variety of chilli plants. Scotch bonnet, apache pepper and then a mix of jalapeños and cayenne. I have 11 plants in total. The first two are big and growing fruits now but the rest are still small, I built them a dome out of sticks and plastic wrapping to help them. Seems to be doing well.

Hoping to make jerk marinade and hot sauces with them when they are done. I grew a plant last year and still have some chillies from it which I've been using in cooking. That plant is now dead though.

The little guys a fighter. I mean I've killed plastic plants that were foolishly kept in my care.

I talk to mine all the time.

Is it dumb that I call it Seymore even though I know it should be Audrey II?

Marie Monday 06-05-2019 09:53 AM
