Ooh. You never answered my question.
oh.and.

Do you two live in the same place?

HuKitKat 09-01-2005 12:15 PM

im in virginia beach right now!

IamAlejo 09-01-2005 09:45 PM

"To the beach" and "in Virginia Beach" are two completely different things.

There's a lot more to Virginia Beach than just the oceanfront. I was asking how often you go to the oceanfront to say it doesn't look nice.

man, i love middle earth......do you hang out with the hobbits?

Merkaba 09-02-2005 03:29 AM

Na no hobbits for me. But I have actually met the guy who made costumes for The Lord Of The Rings. He didn't say too much but he had photos of all these suits hanging on rails and all this armour gear. It was quite an assortment.

here's my wonderful city, the second and third pictures are after some lovely snowfalls, the first being in may, and the second in late april. The third picture was taken this summer, after a lot of rain and a flood. and the last picture is of the local ski hill, Canada Olympic Park, which is basically a bunny hill with an awesome terrain park.

jibber 09-03-2005 10:57 PM

merkeba, i'm gonna be in new zealand next summer for about 2 1/2 month or so (depends on how much money i have), i'll be in wanaka.

Merkaba 09-04-2005 03:08 AM

Thats arguably one of the nicest places to visit Jibber. We are just entering into spring now so everything is starting to come back to life. Check out Queenstown if you can, thats a great tourist town apparently. Only a couple hours from Wanaka i think.

Have fun mate :thumb:

i'll be there probably beginning of june, and leaving middle of august to catch a month or two of skiing. should be sick, hopefully next season will be better, my friend is over there right now and wanaka is having a pretty bad season right now. ah well, i'm still jealous as hell that he gets to ski at all.

Heh yeah so does New Zealand, even the workplace is smoke free so bosses can't walk around the factory chugging down a cigar.

Do you like snowboarding or skiing Jibber.

jibber 09-05-2005 12:17 AM

haha, check the avatar, and the signature....that should pretty much tell ya all ya need to know. I learned to ski less than a year after i learned to walk.

Merkaba 09-05-2005 12:21 AM

Oh yes I knew you loved skiing, Just wondered if you had a secret talent for snowboarding too

jibber 09-05-2005 12:48 AM

nah, i tried it for about 2 days when i was 11, never really took.

Merkaba 09-05-2005 12:52 AM

That pretty much sums my skiing ability up nicely as well.

Hey, look at my home town!!

Below is a digitally enhanced picture of the town hall in St.Helens, Merseyside, where I live. It looks this good in real life at night, minus the light streaks.

And below is the listed Quaker Friend's Meeting House as it is now.
It was built in approximately the year 1500. It has been used as a meeting house since 1678, and it was probably Prevously used as a farmhouse.

Below is the listed glass Cone Building, built in 1887.

And finally, here's Windleshaw Chantry built in 1435. The tower stands 36 feet high.
