You look like you're trying to force one out after being backed up for 2 days.

Picked back up my handsome first edition of The Basic Writings of Bertrand Russell once again. I was curious what his mathematical mind would have to say on the subject of aesthetics and the nature of beauty.

I just read that 20 years ago today, in response to Congress' passing of the mammoth Telecommunications Act and Communications Decency Act, John Perry Barlow, (co-founder of the Electronic Frontier Foundation) posted his famous Declaration of Independence of Cyberspace.

20 years later it's still frighteningly relevant and addresses each of the attacks against the freedom of the web which came to pass since its publication.

I enjoyed it so much that I quickly rendered a 24x36 parchment print of the document styled like the US Declaration which I'll print and frame handsomely in my home.

Hooray for spontaneous projects!

Interesting man, Bertrand Russell. Said a lot of good things, and was full of compassion. Seemed quite grounded too, which I find refreshing given his over-education.
