TBH I'd rather watch the movie though. I love them both but the movie is singularly entertaining as a blockbuster masterpiece.

I remember when I lived in Florida I used to read at this park in the mornings. I was reading 1984 one time and a cop came up to me to ask about my van cause the plates were expired etc. And then he was like "1984, huh? If you like that you should read Ayn Rand."

I'm bouncing between The Vision and the Voice by Aleister Crowley, and The Anathema of Zos by Austin Osman Spare.

Trying yet again to get past chapter three in Dune. I will read it this time. You'll see.

Just finished Why We're Polarized by Ezra Klein. It was an interesting read. Ran through any number of studies and polling data to make some postulations about what is wrong with the American system of government and the patterns by which is arrived here.

I doubt it will be relevant beyond 2022, but it was a good read and puts some "here's why" behind a lot of the things in politics you can see just by experiencing them. So if nothing else it will give you an explaination to the infuriating parts of American life.

I just picked up a first edition hardcover copy of this for $4 and am working my way through it a chapter at a time. A very entertaining book so far and filled with a lot of information on Keith and The Stones. Some of it I already knew about but there's quite a lot in the book that I didn't previously know. I usually give my books away after reading them once but this will probably stay on my shelf for future reference.
