I mean the former. It's the only book which made my lie awake going over those fictional conversations and events again and again trying to figure out what to make of it as much as with things in real life

A new small book full of nice quotes about gratitude and being thankful.

The Far Call by Gordon R. Dickson

A convoluted mess about the international politics of a manned Mars expedition. Really bad.

Cool, I'm reading her collected poems (I read a few now and then in between the main thing I'm reading, which is currently Dr. Thorne by Trollope) but I want to read that one too sometime

Henry Cow: The World Is a Problem by Benjamin Piekut

It's absolutely amazing. It sure helps that it's about one of my all time favourite bands but it's also incredibly well researched and structured.
IIRC TockTockTock recommended it so big thanks for that.

This Little Art, Kate Briggs

About the joys of translation; Roland Barthes, in particular. Great succinct nuggets of descriptive wisdom but inculcated with cultural biases masking as aesthetic value. Lots of eye rolling throughout this one. Take what you can if interested.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.
