It was probably incredibly difficult to translate as she was apparently switching between standard Italian and the Neapolitan dialect, so the writing seems a little clunky at times, but obviously due to the language difference. Quite engaging so far.

Some alchemy book, a couple books and a thesis about some of the kookier medieval female saints/nuns (the compulsive self-mutilation/mortification, anorexia, and general theatrics have always fascinated me), a book about Lucifer called Lucifer Princeps, and Aramaic English New Testament by Andrew Gabriel Roth (mostly I just skim and read the annotations) and also a book about gothic cathedral architecture + the medieval concept of order but I may have mentioned that one already recently.
