Same exact thing happened to my buddy Rick.

A professor in college put me and a friend of mine on to that book. 50 Shades of Grey erotica, it's most certainly not.

Back to Sherlock Holmes from the beginning. Damn, but I'd forgotten what a total masterpiece A Study in Scarlet was!

I just finished Beauties, by James Duthie. It's a collection of hockey related stories. It was a Christmas gift from my wife.

I'm starting Jordan Peterson's Beyond Order now. I'm keeping an open mind. If I can understand what he's saying, I'll consider that a win. Like many professionals who are well versed in their field, I find they tend to ramble on frequently.

No idea, that's one of the Russian editions, I've read the book in polish, and the cover is far worse.

But what it lacks in polish it makes up for in Polish.

At least I could understand it, so I guess you're right

Oh, now I got it

I had a blast attending the Oddities & Curiosities Expo today. Spotted a few local celebrities in the goth and pin-up community and I received many compliments for my Victorian apparel.

I was surprised to score a great find at the show - This is an original full-sized comic book adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein from Classics Illustrated published in 1943. A fun treasure for my library! :)

A straight up Golden Age comic?! Can't be many of those around anymore. Keep that safe and sound or you'll answer to me.

I have it in an archival-safe acid-free polypropylene bag and stored vertically.

Thanks!

If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for it? Action Comics #1 going for like half a million sent the comics industry into a speculation death spiral back in the 80s/90s and I'm curious what even niche comics from that era go for.
