usually if the book is bad in the first place, the movie will be almost unwatchable

The Godfather is an obvious choice to me, although the story is good, Puzo's prose is awful.

I use to love that book, now I doubt I would give it a second glance. Interesting though, how old are you?

galapagos, vonnegut.

it's been incredible so far, but it's taking a bit longer than his others. maybe it's because this is my last new experience with vonnegut's work and i'm subconciously wanting to savor it. who knows? probably not.

I think a few people have already said they've read/ are reading this, but I'm reading The Kite Runner. Not finished yet but it is so, so, so good.

FaSho 10-23-2008 06:58 PM

Really? I just couldn't get into The Kite Runner at all.

To be honest I thought the beginning was a bit dragging and it took a while to pull me into it, but now I'm about half-way through and loving it. Why didn't you like it? (lol without spoiling any plot lines)
