Default Which film trilogy?

Ok, after watching the brilliant CLERKS II and recalling the LOTR v STAR WARS argument. It got me in the mood to find what people regard as the best film trilogy.

I vote for GODFATHER TRILOGY, closely followed by LOTR.

STAR WARS is by default as the prequels were shít!

I'm really not sure why some people are so affronted by the prequels, I think they're even better than the sequels...except those had Ford...<3

I mean, they're all quite silly, but the prequels at least have good effects. I can safely say that I had fun watching all of them.

I vote for LOTR. Simply because the first 5 minutes of The fellowship almost gave me a heart attack. I don't think I'll ever be as blown away as I was by that sequence. It was larger than life and took my breath away.

Second place is Park Chan Wook's Revenge thrilogy (Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance).

A poll will be up soon. Damnit-I forgot the Sympathy trilogy, I tried to think of as many as I could and will invariably omit some, but most of the popular ones are there.

The prequels were abysmal. Yes they had some good special effects, but they are poorly plotted and the acting is pretty terrible across the three films. Revenge Of the Sith had it's moments, but I'm not a huge Star Wars fan anyhow.

I voted Star Wars, but thats followed closely behind by LOTR and The Godfather. I like Rambo a lot too, but mostly just First Blood. ALSO, where the hell is Mad Max.

No H in Pacino, i have seen that mistake a few times on MB and shít; sorry LesPaul-another glaring omission. The first two MAD MAX kick serious arse. Mod's help please?
