What's The Latest Film You Have Seen?

Watched this for the second time recently and is a decent slice of British inner city life. A decent moral centre to the film helps greatly.

The follow on with many of the same characters six years on into their life and very impressed. I absolutely hate the faux ghetto talk that many young people appropriate (innit blood?) but both films are well realised and not mere youth movies trying to glamourise the culture.

Solid, gritty and independent British film making.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - It is much better than the first part. There is much more drama and it is quite emotional because it is the end of an era. I'm 19 and have grown up reading the books and watching the films.

The nineteen years later scene was a bit naff because none of the cast could get away for the age they were supposed to be.

Overall, a quality watch though. Best film yet. Wonder whether JK Rowling will explore any other avenues in this wondeful Harry Potter series?

Rewatched Hot Fuzz and Walk Hard yesterday. Solid fun. I love Hot Fuzz. Waiting for the third film in the series.

Rec and Rec 2. I have like, almost daily movie marathons with a friend of mine, and I still watch movies outside of those, so I've seen some real cinematic upsets before. Nothing like this. Rec was so great that I genuinely wanted to see almost all of these characters die (except for the bald fireman). Ended up really into it to the point where I actually got startled by a part or two, it ended, we said "**** this we're watching the sequel NOW".

Demon zombie virus. Are. You. Kidding? 0/10 two thumbs down.

Yeah [Rec 2] was pretty god awful, however it was at least uplifting to learn that it's not just American horror film makers that cock up the rushed sequel to a surprise hit.

Absolutely mesmerising. It says a lot when the only criticism of a film has been 'pretentious', anyone who throws that word around when describing films is a bit of a cretin. I'd heard in equal measures unanimous praise and scorn for it. But the praise seemed to carry more weight. To call something visually stunning in this day and age always feels a little trite, to me. Then again, people said Avatar was visually stunning lol. But they were outstanding, I got the feeling I was watching something some what profound. It had its flaws, but they weren't in the direction nor the cinematography. Ahhh, that cinematography. If that doesn't win awards then I don't know what will. One of the best films of the decade thus far. 4/5
