I recently saw the movie Sukiyaki Western Django (by Takashi Mike) and I would have to say it is definitely one of my top movies now, without a doubt.

It's a Japanese Western, samurai, gang war, high noon, six guns and samurai sword theatrical extravaganza!

It is wonderful to look at visually and the subtle referencing to all sorts of samurai/cowboy movies makes it a great film for someone who likes samurai/cowboy movies. I can't really say enough about it.

The narrative sequence of this movie really ****s with you, literally told backwards, in little pieces.. which plays together with the plot of the movie (main character Leonard has no short term memory.) This is a great example of post-modern film. It lags at times, but full of 'ah-ha' moments. 7/10

You think? I've only seen it once. I was bored the entire way through. Apart from the scene where they are filming and there is that ****ed up creature standing behind the girl - that was cool. Otherwise, . Maybe I'll have to see it again!

Yeah definitely. I was really looking forward to this on the strength of the directors first movie 'Dog Soldiers' but I was like WTF? I re watched it about a year later and hell yeah-great film.

She is by so far my favorite actress and I don't think there is a better actress out there right now (for her generation).

And yes David Cross as Allen Ginsberg made me giggle like a little girl.
Oh, I'm a huge Dylan fan to begin with, so I knew the movie would blow me away almost 10 minutes into the film. The style really impressed me... and the black kid in the beginning (what's the actor's name?) really impressed me as well, to be so young and act that well. Richard Gere as a portrayal of Bob Dylan... I didn't really get it either, I realize that is was supposed to represent his minimalistic (sp?) "roots", but on the whole I think the movie would've worked just as well without him, but some of his lines are great when talking to the guy who wants to build the highway through his town (metaphor? Me thinks so.) I've always watched Cate Blanchett closesly as an actress... I haven't had a favorite actress for a while, and after watching I'm Not There, she filled the spot.

Haha, me and my boyfriend (we watched this together) are both big Ginsberg fans, when he came on screen my boyfriend squeeled like a little girl. "OHMIGODIT'SGINS!"

I saw Bolt a few days ago. I really enjoyed it, and it was nice to see Disney finally put out a worthwhile movie again. This one feels more like a Pixar movie than a Disney movie, not surprising since it's Disney's first movie with some Pixar head honcho they recently hired, but that's a good thing because the old Disney schtick has gotten really stale at this point.

I thought the creatures were kinda cool, sorta a mix between Gollum and Nosferateu. I really liked the ending where it turns out she was still back down in the cave surrounded by those creatures.
