What's The Latest Film You Have Seen?

Bale actually played the part really well, I read that there was a few people attached to the project and I never really rated Bale, still don't, but I'm glad he played the part of Bateman. I've added American Pyscho to my favourites list, elements or horror, thriller, surrealism and humour all rolled into one. Top film.

I'm glad I finally did watch this and I'm glad I waited six years to do so, cos had I watched it when it came out, it might've destroyed me (2004 was a very bad year emotionally, in large part for reasons related directly to the subject matter here). That it makes the impression it did, even now, speaks to how intensely written it is, which makes me very curious about the play. The cinematic aspect was almost totally unobtrusive--something Nichols knows how to do really well--leaving the focus all on the acting, which was surprisingly spot-on in all four leads in ways I wouldn't have expected.

All in all, I'm really impressed, but I couldn't watch that again for a while.

Part of my gritty, British social realism kick and, true to form, this film has a lot to say about life as a suburban British Muslim in immediate post-9/11 environment. Pretty gripping story then, and definitely a great little (it's only about an hour or so long) watch.

I couldn't find much wrong with this one, aside from the realism aspect... but it's not supposed to be a realistic movie. It's multi-layered and shines a light on realistic things in regard to motive and such.

My favorite scene is probably the mob scene near the end. It's quite epic.

P.S... if you're offended by nudity, then don't watch this. Heh...

Maybe the film itself is good, but watching it a few seconds after having read the book. It just didn't match at all. It massacred everything the writer has been building up.

I only went through with it to watch Alan Rickman's scenes.
