What's The Latest Film You Have Seen?

Next Friday, 2001: A Space Odyssey in IMAX. Holy fucking shit nugs. I knew it was coming to IMAX but I didn't know when and was unsure if it was coming to my IMAX theater here in the valley. Turns out my minds going to be melted. I'd let Kubrick splooge all over me on any sized screen.

If there's a time for a movie then I'd say this is it tbh. I don't even do acid but if I were to enjoy it then watching 2001 on Imax would be the time.

From my prior experiences taking acid, sitting in a seat for 2 1/2 hours on acid watching 2001 in IMAX at a 9:30pm showing really does not sound like a sound idea at all.

I liked being alone or with extremely close friends when tripping. Never had a good experience in public.

The hurdle of getting used to the flow of a trip is a lot easier alone than in public, but I've only had bad experiences when I got too far inside my own head alone in my room.

Re: 2001 Spoiler for Spoiler: Kubrick designed the black monolith based on the aspect ratio of the widescreens in theaters back when it was release - but rotated 90 degrees. At the beginning of the movie (and during the midway intermission) the movie screen is completely black while sublime music plays. Exactly the same as how the monolith's in the movie 'sings' to the apes and astronauts.
