New York Doll

This was poignant and precious and brought on tears at the end.

Sound of Metal

A metal (more punk/noise rock, really) drummer learns how to cope with his newfound deafness. The sound design switches from an extremely meticulous orchestra of small sounds to the warbling, ringing point of view of the deaf character. The story was underdeveloped imo, but it's full of strong performances and is going to boost earplug prices when concerts are back. The protagonist wears dope band shirts too. 3.8/5

The Trial of the Chicago 7

Meh, pretty canned, especially the ****ing soundtrack. Sacha Baren Cohen surprisingly carries this as the too self-consciously-placed comedic relief. FFO mediocre neoliberal bull**** like Forrest Gump. 2.5/5

She would've been such a nice girl if she didn't associate with those dang radicals.

She gave a retarded guy AIDS, frowny. She was a twat.

That movie I watched Sin Nombre I liked the gritty latin american gang scene. Anyone have any recommendations in that same sorta vein? Obviously I've already seen City of God.

Yeah, Perros is fairly unforgettable. Can't think of many like it.
