Saw this recently:

Comedy/Romance

Plenty of funny moments. I liked the scenario that flip-sided the standard "awkward guy trying to get a girl". In this case it's "awkward guy trying to get a guy friend". Paul Rudd did a really good job being completely embarrassing. I was actually a little embarrassed for him while watching it.
Jason Segel is always fun to watch. Both characters in the movie were a nice atypical mix that I enjoyed.
There were some parts that were just unnecessary other than to capitalize on the main character's awkwardness as a "guy" guy, which is pretty well established throughout the movie in more clever ways.. but it didn't turn me off from watching the whole thing so it wasn't that bad for me.

Overall, I'd give it an 7.5 out of 10 for the type of movie it is. I enjoyed it and I'd recommend it to those of you who haven't seen it.

^^ ^^ I thought that film was enjoyable and i thought it was funny. I thought it was alot better than i was expecting it to be but was also a bit let down at how they ended it. Did you not think it was all a bit predictable and unimaginative? Its a shame too cause the film isnt bad at all.

I have this on DVD to watch. I might get round to it soon.

Shaun of the Dead is the better film for me but they are both fantastic in my opinion.

Perfect film. One of very few films I'd give a 10/10 to. Angst, depression and loneliness have never been displayed as brilliant as this.

I enjoyed all of them type of films, they're all well made. You should watch Adventureland and see what you think, personally it's one of my favourite films.

You should do, Naomi Watts acting is really impressive. As is Sean Penn's acting. Emotional film, well thought out, cleverly put together. There were bits and bobs in the film that I didn't like, couple of scenes where I thought the acting could have been better etc. but overall a really decent film. Just make sure you watch it when you want to be depressed.

I'm yet to see Shaun of the Dead. I really enjoyed Hot Fuzz, but I never could be bothered with Shaun of the Dead. A Zombie type spoof, meh. I've been meaning to get round to watching it for years now.

I love Shaun of the Dead. Its one of my favourite films. It was based on an episode of Spaced, if you ever got round to watching it.

I need to finish series 1 off, I kind of have been waiting to get the box set instead of watching it online. Watching things online pisses me off.

Gonna get round to both of them very soon

Anyway, the last film I watched..

Mouk? Damn it's such a good film and Scorsese invented the strap on camera for the drunken effect in the bar that has been used so many times since (Requiem For A Dream. Lock stock etc).

Best use of music in a film EVER!
