I still don't see how its a sell out. How does that term even work on such things as prime-time television?

the whole point is to "sell out"; to get advertisers.

I fail to see how that Subway commercial is any different from when Bart was doing Buterfinger ads back in the early 90s.

I know its hip to hate Family Guy, but your reasoning is pretty bad.

I still enjoy FG myself, sure its random jokes (then again, so is 90% of what is aired on Adult Swim) and its been hit and miss with the new episodes, when it misses it misses pretty bad, but when it hits its f*cking hillarious IMO.

I like Metalocalypse pretty good, I was never a big ATHF fan.

Saying "I liked it before it was popular" about a television show which everyone has access to and no one watched is silly it means you liked a show no one watched with the exception of a few people.

FG is an alright show, I haven't laughed at an episode of FG in years the humor is so predictable, everything is always a non sequitur pop culture reference.

Metalocalypse on the other hand makes me laugh all the time and the music kicks ass.

and the first fake band/movin picture show was josie and the pussy cats... so eat it...

All the shows on Adultswim are stupid....and funny

Ill admit that some of the jokes are great when they land one. But the good jokes are few and far between tons of mindless recycled crap.
It just annoying that shows like these get good ratings, while futurama and king of hill get tossed out.

Nah, king of the hill started in 2000 i believe. Simpsons has been going on about twice as long if not more.

Ok I'm sorry but Family Guy is like 10 times funnier than King Of The Hill.
My dad adores KOTH though, probably because he is more like Hank Hill than Hank Hill is.

I will admit that the newer KOTH episodes are alot better than the old ones and at times do in fact make me lol.

For such a seemingly random show, it is rather formulaic.

I too think FG is funnier than King of the Hill.

But I wont deny that King of the Hill is a much better written show. Since theres like, you know, actual plots and character development and stuff.

I understand that Family Guy has its faults, everything takes a back seat to the jokes, and yes it is hit and miss, some of the jokes have gotten a lot more stupid and tasteless than those from the old episodes, but at the same time the good jokes are getting a lot funnier, and are funny enough for me to endure the jokes that suck, thats just my opinion. Overall I enjoy watching it for its stupid random humor, and if you don't like stupid random humor you shouldn't even watch Adult Swim.

but the boys at adult swim pull it off greatly....but not all their shows are random like one of my favs the Boondocks.

Yeah, they do have The Boondocks and The Venture bros, both awesome shows.

I also love Robot Chicken, which is about as random as it gets.

Some shows I can't stand though, Squidbillies is one of them. And I can't even bare to watch Tim & Eric, its like 4Chan humor gone horribly out of control.

Aside from the comedy stuff though, I also love Adult Swim for the Anime. Mainly Cowboy Beebop, Trigun, FLCL, Death Note and of course Bleach.

Robot Chicken was good for the seasons 1 and 2, but I can't even watch it anymore.

I'm a big fan of the Full Metal Alchemist reruns, since it is the only anime I can stomach.

FMA is good, I like it alright but I haven't been alble to follow everything thats going on. Overall theres a lot of better Anime out there.

Cowboy Bebop was the only one i could enjoy. Just cause its more western, and more realistic. Its not a bunch of dude's collection furry ****s or having a half arm/half sword thing.

Well if you're talking about all the mainstream marketed stuff to kids like Naruto and Yu Gi Oh and Digimon then yeah, but the best Anime tends to be less mainstream. Theres a lot of different Anime I could name thats very different in style.
