It's Return of the Living Dead, I'll find a better picture.

Both that and Cube are really, really good movies! You're in for a treat.

Return of the Living Dead is one of my favorite horror movies. Like that they added a whole new dimension to zombies, made them harder to kill, was a good change from the Romero Zombies.

Cube is alright. More a watch once and let it sit on the shelf type movie. I like the idea of it, but thought it was not all that special in the end.

it's been a long time since i watched Return of the Living Dead but i remember really enjoying it - it's great fun

Cube is okay, I guess, though the rest of the movie doesn't really live up to the opening "kill"

Picked these ones up today.

Straw Dogs (1971)

One of my favourite movies.

Secretary (2002)

A classic movie from the last decade.

Memento (2000)

I use to have this but ended up selling it along with almost all my other DVD's in 2007 to fund a move.

Lake Mungo (2008)

Psychological horror mockumentary that focuses on the stages of grief after death. Decent film and one you don't often find in places so I picked it up to add to my collection of lower profile/ cult movies.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010)

I am ashamed to admit that I prejudged this one on the fact that it looked like a quirky romantic comedy staring Michael Cera like every other movie he was in since 2004, and because of my hubris I don't get to see a Guillermo del Toro directed adaption of H.P. Lovecraft's At The Mountains of Madness because this movie tanked at the box office and Universal pulled the plug on that project.

^ I have Memento in my instant queue but haven't gotten around to watching it.

Gremlins and Gremlins 2.

Bon Cop, Bad Cop (2006)

Canadian movie about one cop from Toronto and one cop from Montreal. If you're Canadian you can already see where this is going, if not then basically it's the Canadian equivalent of "North vs. South / English vs. Irish / Norway vs. Sweden / etc." I'm curious as to how much of it I'll really get, as I'm from the part of Canada that the east doesn't really like to acknowledge but I'm sure there will be enough broad jokes involving Tim Horton's for me to still get some entertainment out of it.

Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001)

I've heard a lot of good things about this movie and there's not enough movies with werewolves in them that do martial arts so I'm hoping this movie will fill that niche quite nicely. If nothing else I'm sure it will help me me understand French a bit better.

Brotherhood Of The Wolf is superb. A monster movie/historical romp/martial arts/horror combo and it works brilliantly although the directors cut which adds around 30 mins seriously bogs the film down. I ordered the Canadian 3 disc edition for the extended cut some years back hoping for a better package than the release here (single disc and no extras) but the extended cut means I rarely watch it.

Been after this for a while. Directed by Stuart Gordon (Re-animator, Edmond, Dagon etc) and written by Charlie Higson (U.K comedian/actor - The Fast Show) this is one of those movies that starts off being one film and then completely flips and becomes something else completely. Crime drama meets surrealist horror is probably the best description. A little gem and glad I found it after watching it a couple of years back.

I definitely got the director's cut then because holy crap did the movie ever seem to drag on. This has more to do with the fact that I was really tired and didn't want to turn off the movie then the movie being bad, but I think the theatrical cut was all you really needed.

edit:

Picked these up today on sale.
