I really liked Daybreakers, I mean it had Willem Dafoe killing vampires with crossbows and muscle cars. Not only that but it has a really nice run time so nothing feels drawn out, an awesome 3rd act, and shockingly relevant social commentary on the subject of dwindling resources. That's how a fucking genre film should be.

Night of the Living Dead (1990) Generally I don't give remakes the time of day, but I was feeling charitable today. My local record store pretty much just gets by on its used DVD sales so I figured I'd throw them a bone. I also use to have the 1968 original but have no idea where it is, my guess is I either lent it to someone who never gave it back or I sold it sometime before I moved. |
