Default 100 Things I Love About Movies

Yes, I'm doing both. I will try to make it interesting and non-obvious.

100: Well-Placed Credit Songs

I know this is pretty simple, but a well placed song in the opening or closing credits can really be effective. For example, "My Baby Shot Me Down" in Kill Bill. It fit's perfectly, and it really make s the credits memorable and opens the movie well. When combined with imagery, it makes the credit sequence a good way to ease into the movie, and it's a million times better than the standard opening credit sequence. Also, a well placed song in the closing credits can be just as effective. For example, Amphibian by Bjork in the closing credits of being John Malkovich. It's the perfect song to end the movie with, and it actually fits the movie well, unlike most ending credit songs.

I will post more later. It will keep get better the more I go on, and feel free to leave feedback, negative or positive. And the order isn't 100% in order, but it will be more or less so the closer I get to #1.

The Kill Bill soundtrack is just gorgeous throughout, Tarantino knows his stuff when it comes to them.

What song? If you're talking about a song from the soundtrack, I probably know the title.

99: Film Posters

On this forum, I've seen many people proclaim their love for album art. I'm the same way about film posters. I love them. Some of them are works of art, in my opinion. I've been getting into collecting film posters, and I love having them on my walls.

Is this the inspiration for the Bioshock approach to artwork?
