I am actually surprised how good this show is (although it has put me off from eating veal for a very long time...which in hindsight is probably a good thing). I always considered James Franco more of a comedic actor but he really shines in this show.

Watched What Happens Live with the female leads from the 80s hit Full House.

1. All hot as hell. Would hit.

2. Seem to truly enjoy being in each others company. I'm sure the copious booze helped.

3. All hot. Would hit. Especially Candice.

Finished Red Oaks season 1. A hysterical take on a kid who works at a high price resort in New Jersey. Paul Reiser is fantastic and the kid in the lead is great.

Also finished Bosch season 1 which was equally fantastic. Crime thriller with some wonderful plot twists.

I. Freaking. Love. Sherlock. And I've only seen two.

Chula Vista 03-03-2016 09:57 PM

Good lord, this is crazy good. Who knew Kate Mara was so flirtatious in a great way. The spitting in the cup at the end is the icing on the cake.

I can't believe he's gone but Jimmy ****ing Falon and that other ******* from SNL still have shows.

ChelseaDagger 03-04-2016 08:45 PM

Anxiously awaiting the new "Vikings" season to hit DVD... I love my two-week long marathons. :D

Paul Smeenus 03-09-2016 07:36 PM

So, I took a peek at what's on PBS tonight

Oh fuck yes I'll watch that! What's on after that, I wonder...

Gee, ya know, I think I'll pass on that one. Too late for me anyway.

JGuy Grungeman 04-05-2016 10:24 AM

Almost done with my second playthrough of Death Note. Brilliant show about brilliance.

Key 04-05-2016 10:39 AM

Started watching The Ranch on Netflix. Really enjoying it. It's like That 70s Show met western.

Chula Vista 04-05-2016 05:59 PM

Just finished season 2 of Daredevil. Holy Shiite. Love absolutely everything about this show. The final 5 minutes completely set the stage for season 3.

The Batlord 04-05-2016 06:02 PM

Never before have I scrolled down so quickly. Even if Chula didn't give away any spoilers, the thought of knowing so much as whether or not it was good was enough to give me heart palpitations.

RoxyRollah 04-05-2016 06:53 PM

I just finished a 3 parter mini series....Shut up it was Agatha Christie not a lifetime special, you judgmental bastards. It was fantastic.

JGuy Grungeman 04-05-2016 10:38 PM

Finished Death Note for the second time. Damn. Why is that show so brilliant?

JGuy Grungeman 04-10-2016 12:21 AM

Rurouni Kenshin. It's samurai Trigun!

JGuy Grungeman 04-14-2016 12:47 AM

The Returned US edition. DANG. What's going on in that freaky town? I'm already half done.

Stephen 04-14-2016 03:15 AM

Don't know if anyone knows this show but it's a blast from my past at least. Found it in youtube.

Set in the early/mid-1970s, the life and times of a record executive, Richie Finestra (played by Bobby Cannavale). His record company, American Century, has fallen on hard times and he is busy negotiating its sale to Polygram Records. We see how he started in the industry, the start of his company, its ups and downs, the casualties of his progress and what rock music means to him.
Watched the season opener last night and it was really good. The bands discussed won't surprise anyone, but it's very well directed and flows well.

JGuy Grungeman 04-21-2016 01:06 PM

Anyone else watching the 2011 Hunter Hunter dub?

Goofle 04-21-2016 07:00 PM

Fargo S1 was awesome. I love how it all culminated, brilliant writing. Billy Bob was utterly magnificent. Now onto S2.

The cast was great in general, I don't think I can find a single weak character there.
As for season 2 - give it a chance. It has a slightly different tempo, I almost quit watching it at one point... but I didn't and I'm glad I didn't.
Generally not as good as season1, which is imho the best tv series I've seen, ever, but close. Kirsten Dunst, who up until Fs2 I hated with a passion and considered a really bad actress (for being the worst choice for Mary Jane Watson ever...yeah..) proved me wrong here.

What bugs me about Fargo though .. the tv series is so good, it spoils the movie. I'm one of those people that somehow missed the movie when it came out, I only saw it after watching both seasons of the tv series.. and it seemed like a weaker copy, an exercise, an early sketch of what it will eventually become in the tv series. In fact, it seemed so .. flawed ? That I had to force myself to watch it, despite great directing, writing and acting.

JGuy Grungeman 04-28-2016 09:57 AM

New show called Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto. It's pretty funny.

Fargo s1 was had more character to it, it was so mysterious and quarky in my opinion.
But Fargo s2 had me really on the edge of my seat and i wanted to keep watching to it.
Great show! :)

Goofle 05-03-2016 09:17 AM

Pokemon, the original TV Series. Pikachu is so damn cute.

That's interesting, I have a couple of buddies in the same boat, they've finished the TV series but haven't seen the original movie. I urged both of them to watch it but after hearing your thoughts on it I won't be surprised if they feel the same way, I enjoyed the TV series more than the movie as well. However, while I love both seasons, I'm a sucker for season 2. Late 70's cars and music, crime families, and small town conspiracies are my Kryptonite. I felt that both seasons were superbly written, for me final preference just came down to setting and atmosphere.

Have you ever seen Melancholia? It's Lars Von Trier so it's not an easy watch but ultimately it's an epic film and Kirsten should have won an Oscar for her performance. She's that good in it.

Frownland 05-03-2016 09:43 AM

^Its worth mentioning that Melancholia is a very accessible Von Trier film, at least by his standards.

Rick and Morty is all on YouTube and it's something special.

Season 2 might just be the best season of a TV show I've ever seen.

I about died with the Mr Poopy Butthole plot twist. One of the funniest shows in history, Adult Swim or otherwise.

Nothing beats when Rick is going through all of his catchphrases. "Grassssss tastes bad!"

OK, I need help remembering a cartoon. There's this bug character, possibly a fly, with a high-pitched voice. He's mostly black, has a blue stripe or two, a light blue face, a big red nose, a small brown hat, and buck teeth. I think he was chased around by a woman with tall and pointy red hair.

Love that one. "He says he's sorry that you didn't have any bad memories of him." I think the Mr. Meseeks episode is my favourite just for the character.

I swear to god I remember this show, but nothing that will help you. Was the woman some rich bitch who was super upper crust, and the joke was that this fly was constantly threatening to embarrass her in front of all the other rich people? I remember nothing else about this show, but I seem to remember it being sort of an animated skit show, with this just being one feature among many, sort of like a poor man's Animaniacs.

Frownland 05-04-2016 09:02 PM

Is it Bugs Bunny?

Maybe. I don't remember.

It wasn'r Bugs Bunny. I of all people would know Bugs as a large portion of my cartoon fanhood thrives on many things Looney Tunes related, even Loonatics.

JGuy Grungeman 05-05-2016 12:32 AM

THE WACKY WORLD OF TEX AVERY. I didn't realize I ever saw that show. Damn. It's the Freddy the Fly skit. Thanks, Bat. I Googled "rich woman cartoon skit fly," nothing. Then "rich woman cartoon Segment fly," and this popped up first. It was the rich part that did it.
