Just finished Downton Abbey season 2. That show is insanely addictive, and quite a bit more fun than I assumed it would be going in. Definitely highly recommended, though it does veer into soap-y plot lines on occasion.

Also, Breaking Bad has continued to be amazing this season, and the last episode had one of the best scenes of the entire series, in my opinion. I'm also looking forward to the return of Hell On Wheels, which can hopefully improve on it's character work this season. Even if it doesn't, though, it'll make for a great Sunday night of TV.

I died laughing the first time I watched that episode.

The Inbetweeners

For whatever reason I thought this show was going to be more geared towards the 18-22 age demographic, hence the title, but it's actually more about the final years of school. Regardless it's a pretty hilarious show, made all the better without language restrictions, so a contemporary show can actually feel contemporary, at least in some of the more superficial aspects.

Considering I didn't come-of-age in the U.K. there are just some things I can't relate to, but suburban teenagers being dipshits is pretty universal so there was enough that makes me cringe with uncomfortable familiarity, especially the sex-obssesed kid, who is a spot-on clone of one guy who hung out in my social group in high school, right down to the poncy hairdo.

Basically it's a sharp little comedy that only ran for 18 episodes plus one movie and it's on Instant Netflix so if any of you are fans of British comedy, this one is worth a look.

Personally I think the funniest thing about this show is that the actors in it are so obviously in their mid 20s and are almost 10 years older than the characters they're portraying.
To me it's not so much a coming of age thing, it's more of a knowing wink to a time when you came of age.

That's right, Pete. I'm four episodes in. Definitely enjoying it so far. I think Lester is my favorite character at the moment.

Cooool Lester Smooth. You don't mess with someone who's done 13 years and 4 months in the Pawn Shop unit.

I want to check this out as well. It's another show that i've heard some good things about.

Bunk is actually my favourite. He, along with Mike from Breaking Bad are my two favourite characters in the history of television.
