I don't think it's so much the children rather than generally unable to tell whether the characters are average or trying to be funny. The humour is just... what.

I kinda like Modern Family, but I did stop watching it when I discovered better shows. Cougar Town is my sh*it right now.

Right now I am hooked on Homeland, Sons of Anarchy, and Boss. Strike Back on Cinemax is pretty kick ass too.

I don't watch the show any more so its okay. I remember reading a huge Mad Men spoiler in here before though.

Sell your firstborn to watch it if you have to. It was once described as "The Sopranos on motorcycles." It's not. It's ten times better. Watch it once and be prepared to end up going through seasons at a time.
