I just started watching this last night because we just finished learning about the Roman Republic and later the Roman Empire in my European Civilization class. The show does a great job at balancing history with fiction that I've so far been able to differentiate from quite easily. As with any HBO show it's teeming with gory violence and plenty of sex and always, some brilliant writing and acting. I don't know why I slept on this show for so long, it's been on my hard drive for at least a year now, but better late than never.

A friend recommended it to me and I was mildly curious about it.

This show is pretty cool.

Seriously? I caught myself laughing quite a bit, which is rare when the show isn't some panel show like QI or 8 out of 10 cats.

And the characters are just so....I dunno, touching and well developed. Anyways, I'm hooked on it. I'll be sad when I get to the point where they switch cast members :(.

Love this show, its very addicting.

So I just started watching Mad Men! Got both season out, here I come TV! Watched the first episode and so far interesting. Love the 50's setting, the gender discriminations and sex appeal.

Just caught the second episode tonight after recording it Friday night and I'm still not sure about it yet. It's well made and the effects are decent but I am finding it a little predictable at the moment and I haven't really seen anything that set's it apart from the usual Zombie fare.

I was hoping it would bring something a little different to the table but I will persevere. Andrew Lincoln's American accent is pretty good though.

His accent is excellent really. And the second episode was terrible. The third episode was much, much better...stick with it Lee.

I think the second episode was necessary to at least move the plot along, and I've got to admit the part where they coated up in zombie juice was pretty damn awesome. Good to hear I can expect better things to come.

If it's anything like the graphic novels (and it mostly is so far) then it can only get better from here!
