My only problem is that only so much can happen in one day.
They don't take like 5 minutes to chill.
Like snacktime.

I just started watched 30 Rock!! I'm a huge Tina Fey fan... love her humor. Great show.

Surell 02-23-2009 04:46 PM

The new G's to Gents season is amazing.

DestinyRage 02-23-2009 09:43 PM

Hosue,Wrestling,Soaps, whatevers on MTV or VH1 watching cooking channel comedy central.....

adidasss 04-21-2009 04:00 PM

In the absence of anything more interesting, I've started watching Torchwood. Pretty interesting, especially the pansexual angle...(:

Anyone got any suggestions? I'm running out of things to watch...:\

Kamikazi Kat 04-24-2009 12:04 AM

Alot of Adult Swim, mostly Xavier: Renegade Angel, Tim and Eric, Squidbillies, Superjail, Venture Brothers, Morel Orel, Boondocks and pretty much everything other then Family Guy. That show used to be fairly funny, but after the show being on for so long and after it being played so often, I've kind of built up an immunity to it.

I occasionally watch comedy central for South Park, Futurama, or some good standup comedians but recently I've gotten much more into the whole random/surreal comedy that Adult Swim has plenty of. I used to wach G4 a fair amount, but that channel is dead to me now ever since the whole video games/technology thing has been almost completely abandoned. The only real good things that channel has left are X-Play and Attack of the Show, both of which have gotten less good over time, and Adam Sesslor.

I don't really watch much TV anymore. Usually I'll just download a season of a show I like so I can watch if with my friends. I never really laugh when watching something by myself, well, I laugh on the inside I guess. Either that or view it online somewhere or just buy the DVD.

Oh yeah I almost forgot about the History and Discovery channels.

For brain dead entertainment I watch Coronation St, Rock of Love 2. America's Next Top Model, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Shortland Street, Home and Away.

The most intelligent TV show I watched recently was Criminal Minds which featured a high class hooker killer her clients because they were cheating on their wives, which her dad had done to her mom. She killed herself in the end after framing her dad for murder. Lovely.

I am very proud to call myself a Kiwi with these guys representing us. They're hilarious, you're bound to get their songs stuck in your head. "You could be a part time model..."

I've seen that not long ago....not bad, but after you've seen Band of brothers every other war show seems like an anticlimax.

Yeah I re-watched Band Of Brothers for about the 10th time last week.
I don't think anything could come close to that.

Americas Next top chef, time warp i think its called, well basically any cool show on discovery, history, nat geo, or FOOD! theres another channel I like maybe Bravo? that has food shows on. Im extrememly jealous of lee, I would love to be a cook, but feel obligated to be an engineer, because thats what ive been doing my whole working life.

djchameleon 04-25-2009 12:04 AM

I watch too much **** on tv....mostly because I've watched every episode since season 1 of the show starting so I just continue to keep up with the show out of habit.

Some of my recent favorites would have to be Dollhouse, Fringe, Kings which should be a bloody cable....network tv can't appreciate it's genius and Reaper.

crash_override 09-16-2010 09:08 AM

Major bump, I was really looking to start a "Bad TV Shows Thread", but this one will do for now.

I saw what has to be the dumbest ****ing show on television. It's on TLC, and it's called Freaky Eaters. The show is nothing like what the title makes it sounds. It's basically a intervention based show for people who eat too much of a certain food. The epsiode I watched was about a guy who ate Pizza everyday, they literally gave this guy an intervention to get him to stop eating pizza.... WTF?

Freaky Eaters: Addicted to Pizza : Video : TLC

This show is just sick been watching a lot of it latley. It's a rather unique comedy, very funny.

Mojo 09-21-2010 04:49 PM

I've only seen the first series admittedly and everyone tells me that it got better after that but I absolutely couldn't stand the first series of The Mighty Boosh. I hate it almost as much as what I have seen of Skins.

I watched it twice and I laughed on maybe two or three occasions throughout but I just couldn't understand the acclaim.

Urban Hat€monger ? 09-21-2010 05:12 PM

Julian Barratt - Great in Nathan Barley
Noel Fielding - Great in Never Mind The Buzzcocks & The IT Crowd

Which makes it all the more puzzling as to why The Mighty Boosh is so unfunny.

simplephysics 09-21-2010 05:17 PM

Anyone here into Louie on FX? I've seen a handful of episodes and their all hilarious in a depressing, midlife crisis kind of way.

You should be able to find a few episodes on hulu. It's alright to start off in the middle of the season too, there's not too much progression per episode, it's a mix of the show and Louis C. K.'s stand up. Really good stuff, you'd probably like it.

I never got into the IT Crowd either and I don't know what Nathan Barley is. I like Never Mind the Buzzcocks but i'm not sure if i have an opinion of Fielding on that show as I havent watched it all that frequently since Lamarr presented it.

However, i agree that it isnt funny. Everyone went fucking apeshit over that show and I just never quite got it.

Having run out of Mad Men on DVD, I started this tonight. 1.5 episodes in, I'm pretty impressed.

I love Louie, it's completely hilarious on a whole different level. Exactly what you'd except from Louis C.K. if you've seen his stand-ups at all.

It took me a couple of years (literally) to get The Mighty Boosh but once it clicks- it's superb. There are a few duff moments but it's utter disregard for the atypical sitcom format and it's use of not only script but costumes and music makes it a very rewarding show and all those I.T crowd haters- Ricard Ayoade- comedy genius. He is so deadpan it hurts. He is also a writer and music video director too (Super Furry Animals etc). Matt Berry is great too.

The secret to good sitcom as opposed to sketch shows is character, character, character and the I.T crowd manages to create characters that are far from one dimensional, so place them in even mundane situations and they still appeal due to their characters.

Urban Hat€monger ? 09-24-2010 06:53 PM

I love The IT Crowd

Matt Berry seems to have a habit of stealing every scene he's in
