That is a full season and I am glad. It cuts out some of the filler type episodes that crop up every season. 10 down to 7 isn't a big deal and does more for them. I am all for it.

It's mostly for the budget, those epic battles cost a pretty penny and there's going to be a lot of them in these final two seasons, hence the shorter seasons.

Twin Peaks Season Three: Hyper post-mulholland Drive Lynch. I can't say much due to spoilers but he completely rejects the nostalgia that Twin Peaks has grown, it's expanding into a new kind of "wonderful and strange" :)
