I missed out on Charmed. I'd usually watch reruns of The Outer Limits (the awful 90s remake though, not the original series) instead. Which is an excellent choice if you want 100% pure unfettered cheese.
There desperately needs to be another witch drama on TV, though (ideally starring Jane Fonda and RuPaul) |

I simply adore British panel shows, the witty banter, the lack of censorship, the politically incorrect jokes that would make American's (well, some, not all) heads explode. Swearing, sarcasm, all in good fun. QI was among the best, if not the best of them. Unfortunately now that Stephen Fry left it.. well, it's not the same. Sandi Toksvig is charismatic but well, she's no Stephen Fry I'm afraid. Have you seen Mock the Week, hosted by Dara O'Brien ? I can literally cry laughing at what these guys and gals do and tell. Mock the Week and QI <3 |
I love QI, Buzzcocks, would I lie to you etc but Mock the Week in the best of all of em imo.
Also watched 'Have I got new for you' for years, seems a bit bias in the angle of it's comedy these days though. |

The fact that the lot of you put so much stock into the series makes me just a little curious. I haven't witnessed this degree of loyalty since the RHPS scene. Maybe I'll give it a shot on an evening when I'm feeling particularly adventurous. Thank you all. Quote:

Here's the first supercut. |
Loooove QI and Would I Lie to You. (I adore Miranda Hart; did her show ever get a second season?) Such comforting shows.

I really enjoy the QI fact books and the wonderfully entertaining No Such Thing as a Fish podcast series hosted by the QI Elves. It's like an evening of coffee or tea with fascinating friends. Definitely registers on the comfort scale.
I've been meaning to read the Books of General Ignorance and the NSTaaF Book of the Year as well. |
