They are two completely different movies with different moral stances.

AN is from the point of view of one man, while SPR is from the point of view of a group. AN has an anti war stance and SPR has a patriotic one, however they both have a great, disorienting feel that puts you in the right state of mind to see things from a soldier's point of view, well, no war movie will EVER give you a real idea of what it's like, but I think these come close better than any other war movie.

Your preference will probably be influenced by your political point of view.

Doesn't have to be 10. 10 or under is the rule.

James 06-16-2010 04:40 PM

But she's always posting about films.
Therefore she must know at least 10.

TheCunningStunt 06-16-2010 04:43 PM

I dunno how many she posted, I stopped reading after Richard Curtis.

 Sexism ftw!

Despite being a chick, he's truly one of the most loathsome directors to make films.. Although I have a soft spot for Bridget Jones' diary. As far as light hearted chick flicks go anyway.

boo boo 06-16-2010 05:14 PM

I liked Bridget Jones' Diary and I like Renee Zelweger in everything she does.

Curtis is more of a writer though, he only has two directing credits. Bridget Jones isn't one of them.

Ah, I thought he was the director of Notting Hill, Bridget Jones, Love Actually etc.

I've not seen her in that much so I don't really have an opinion on her but she seems decent enough.
