Supposedly one of Metals' most influential bands. I have'nt heard one single thing by them but this doc is supposed to be highly entertaining.

ANVIL! THE STORY OF ANVIL | SCREENING AT SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL JANUARY 2008

Thoughts?...and don't mention Spinal Tap. It's been said already.

That film looks like it could be fun.

Have no intention of ever listening to one of their albums though

I guess this is a band that used to tour with some of the biggest 80's metal bands. All of them sold millions of albums but 1. Anvil. I seen this on a commercial this morning on MTV2. I guess they are coming out with a biography on these guys. I'm stoked. Can't wait to see it. I guess it will be very very touching.

Some of the quotes in the preview for the movie were touching. Like.

"I would jump off a cliff for this band" "And we would be right there jumping with you."

--> Quote from when he was little. "We are going to make it man. We will rock untill we are old"

"I've put my life into this band. And nobody will take it away from me."

"Even if we die unknown, atleast I have my buds."

Critics call this movie

"Funny and extremely touching"

Anyone else stoked for this movie?

I saw it. It was heartwarming, but don't expect the big laughs the trailer would have you believe.

Some of my flatmates saw it at the film festival last year and said it was pretty funny.

I was watching the Classic Album series today for Judas Priest's British Steel and it reminded me that I need to watch more moving images of middle aged men throwing shapes with balding heads

No because if the sun hits the room correctly the glare from my head instantly blinds me.
