Nintendo 64: Your Favorite Games

I have played almost every gaming system out there, and I find that I have the most fun by far on the Nintendo 64 system. It is pretty hard finding games for this system (its prime was back in the 90's), but those I have found are very original and fun. I have quite a collection so I will make a list of my top six favorite games. Please tell me yours so I can check them out.

1. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Quite arguably the best game made for any gaming system ever. Its got a great story line that takes you through every element to save Hyrule, your ultimate goal. Great graphics music and characters. This is a game that you definitely can't beat in one day and I don't know how anyone could beat it without the book or some internet walkthroughs. You really have to use your brain a lot in this game.

2. Banjo and Kazooie

This game may fool you by its cute lovable characters and colorful levels but it is one of the hardest games I have played. You will definitely cry a few times when you try and fail many times to get all of the musical notes in the levels and all of the extremely difficult "jiggys". But a very fun game nonetheless.

3. Golden Eye

The best shooting game for N64. The graphics are not the best but the missions are so fun they really make up for it. You really get into this game when you start playing it. It also has some really aggrevating moments when you have to save Natalia and she keeps getting shot right before you beat the level ends. By the time you beat this game, you will be so unbelievably good at aiming and shooting you will be able to do a level in about 2 seconds. The multiplayer on this game is really fun. Something about running around and trying to blow each other away is very fun satisfying.

4. Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Not as good as the first one. Maybe because you expect greatness, but super super fun. The biggest difference in this one is all the small little fun goals you get to do, instead of one huge long mission all the time. If you like the first Zelda then you will undoubtedly like this one. Instead of growing up like in the first one, you gain masks that make you turn into different form of Link, like Goron Link for example. It is very fun and just as hard as the other.

5. Perfect Dark

The best multiplayer game for N64. The plot and regular part of the game is pretty mediocre but as far as multiplayer goes, it is a blast. My brother and I have played multiplayer on this game for almost 2 days straight one time. There are tons and tons of weapons to pick from and there are hundreds of character you can make. The game is simple just go around and kill everyone. What more can you ask for?

6. Mario Kart 64
As far as racing games go, this is one of the best. N64 racing games just can't really compete with some of these other gaming systems games today. But if you want to get a really good hardcore competition going on between you and your friends, put on this game, it is easy and you can learn to do it in a matter of five minuets. Its fun to see your friends spin out on a bunch of bananas you laid out there. But, also a pretty boring game on single player.

Oh shi, I fogot about the Pokemon games. I should dig out Pokemon Snap.

EDIT: Smash Bros. on the 64 is awesome but really, really easy to beat.

I played Melee before i ever touched the original smash bros on n64, couldn't get into it. The controls were too sluggish and weird, especially on an n64 controller.

the turok games were alot of fun as well

Hey that takes some serious talent shootin up to Yoshi, man. I hated gettin the red coins on the levels where you had to make it up to Bowser so I never did get to shoot up to him.

I have to admire anyone who can beat a Turok game. I spend 30 minuets one time trying to find this little secret opening that led you to the next room and then in the next room I never could find a way out. Haha But it is a pretty fun game.
