Who are your least favorite/favorite actors/actresses?

Thought there was a thread on this already, but I guess I remember incorrectly.

I am a big fan of Edward Norton, he is my number one. I have seen as many movies of his that interest me (The Score, Hulk, American History X, Primal Fear, Rounders, and Death to Smootchie just to name a few), and even some that dont (The Painted Veil and Down in the Valley). I think he can play many different characters ranging from a man suffering from split personalities, to a lead white supremacist, to a janitor suffering from mental illness.

I also dig Zoey Deschanel (SP?) I own a few movies she was in (Yes man, Elf and You and me and everyone we know <----excellent film) I think she is gorgeous and not very fake. Maybe she isnt an excellent actress, but I am superficial and her beauty fills the void for me.

Well, Im a bit intoxicated and lazy, so from here on out I plan on losing the pointless descriptions.

-John Malkovich (Rounders, Burn After Reading, Of Mice and Men)
-Robert Downey JR (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and Iron Man)
-Adam Sandler/Allen Covert/Nick Swardson/John Turturro, basically the crew of Happy Madison. They dont always amaze me, but most of the time they do.
-Jim Carrey never gets old, and never gets less funny IMO.
-Steve Buscemi Actually got to meet him when I was younger. He came into the grocery store I worked at in high school and bought a skim board for his kid. Pretty cool dude, and a great actor. 'Why am I Mr. Pink?'

I do not like in the least-Mark Wahlburg, Keanu Reeves, or any of the Baldwins.

Accidentally hit enter while typing title, so its kind of jacked.

Please share your favorite actors, and always feel free to criticize mine, I'd love to hear your opinions.

Anthony Hopkins when not taking an easy paycheck (Bad Company) is a great actor. Shadowlands, The Elephant Man, Howard's End, The Remains Of The Day. All superlative.

Robert De Niro- forget most of his lame ass performances of the last 20 years ( a few films like Casino apart) and focus us on a multitude of performances. Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Godfather Part II, Raging Bull. Brilliant.

Javier Bardem- not just because of No Country For Old Men. I have see him before in The Sea Inside and The Dancer Upstairs and he has great presence.

Daniel Day Lewis- There Will Be Blood, My Left Foot, In the Name Of My Father. There's method in his madness.

I will split my posts up regarding male and female etc

Dudes: Robert Carlyle is always the first off of my lips, plays the gritty working class brilliantly, particularly in Trainspotting and the 51st State.

Dudettes: I quite like Tilda Swindon, i've only seen her in a few things (The Beach, Constantine, Benjamin Button) but she has a certain charm. Audrey Tatou close second but only because i love her.

is this threat about favorites or least favorites?
I'm confused...

Favorites:

I agree wholeheartedly with Zooey Deschanel. Ho-lee shit, she's awesome. I just love her in everything she does. She's cute as hell too, which only adds to her charm.

Johnny Depp: Yeah I know he's a bit overrated and an insufferable Europhile but the dude can act his freakin' face off. He's one of the most versatile people on the screen today, and he played the best damn Hunter S. Thompson anyone ever could.

Gael Garcia Bernal: If you don't watch many foreign movies you probably won't know who this is, but he's absolutely fantastic. (Also, if you don't, he was in Babel as the Mexican nanny's nephew who got them stranded in the desert.) He was amazing in Michael Gondry's The Science of Sleep, and really carried the whole movie (which was more of a nonlinear piece of visual art than a film, and my main complaint is it carried Gondry's signature "I'm not going to make an ending for this, hahaha" thing.) Y Tu Mama Tambien and La Mala Educacion are among my absolute favorite films, and it's really all thanks to his amazing acting. Amores Perros is good, too.

Heath Ledger: And not just because he's dead. Dude was fantastic in Candy, which is probably the most depressing movie I have ever seen in my life (Requiem for a Dream is basically tied) and Brokeback Mountain was absolutely beautiful. I still love that silly teen flick 10 Things I Hate About You and it's, once again, mainly because of him. His portrayal of the Joker completely won me over and even let me forgive Christian Bale's stupid Batman voice. What better legacy can an actor leave behind than making Jack Nicholson look like a fucking schoolgirl???

While we're on Jack Nicholson: I find it amazing that a guy can go completely out of his gourd from drug abuse back in the seventies and continue to make an illustrious career through the rest of his life. I'm going to be really sad when he dies, he's been one of my favorite actors since I was around eleven.

Harrison Ford has been a hero since childhood - he was Han Solo and Indiana Jones, which basically sums up about 75% of the games I played outside when I was a kid. I wanted to be both when I grew up.

I love Robin Williams when he's not doing simpering kiddie-schlock.

John C. Reilly may be ugly as sin, but dude can act like no other and has an amazing singing voice. He's a great character actor, but I'd really like to see him do a little more with himself. Still, he's fantastic.

Michael Cera : I see great things in this kid's future. He's just so likeable onscreen, to the point where you're pretty much sure that's how he is in real life. Hopefully he won't let it all go to his head. An absolute pleasure to watch. He's one of those guys I'd like to see my younger sister dating, if that makes any sense.

Ewan McGregor: if only for Trainspotting and Moulin Rouge. But seriously - I love his voice, I love his facial expressions, I love his mannerisms. One hell of an actor and singer.

Neil Patrick Harris: is gay, and still gets more chicks than you.

There's others, but I'd go on forever lol.

Least Favorites:

Parker Posey: annoys the hell out of me. Every time she's on screen my teeth start grinding.

Ben Affleck: is a douche. Not just a douche, but a megadouche. Now that he's done riding on the coattails of Matt Damon (whom I'm not too fond of either), he's gone off to make his own movies... that suck. YOU RUINED DAREDEVIL, YOU FUCK!

Keanu Reeves
: Outside of Bill and Ted, dude has NO onscreen personality and ONE facial expression. A disgrace to the art. Ruined Constantine for comic fans everywhere.

Tom Cruise
: That silly little twit needs to get the fuck back on his spaceship and go home.

Kathy Bates
: scares the living shit out of me.

I may come up with more later lol.

I read recently that he actually is gay, and in a relationship with Alan Cumming.

A swift kick to his nuts would be amazingly satisfying.

An absolute tour de force of acting. It's all in the eyes. If you can't see then you just don't get it:

FAVORITE ACTORS:

1. Al Pacino. I love him in Scent of a Woman.
2. Dennis Hoffman

FAVORITE ACTRESSES:

1. Faye Dunaway. Love her roll in Bonnie and Clyde. If I could pick one person to look like it would be her (when she is blonde).
2. Juliette Lewis

LEAST FAVORITES:

This guy. I really hate him. He thinks he is so good looking but he is not. Not at all. This guy is a joke.

I don't know who that guy is.

Favorites? Really down on the Zooey love...absolutely in love with that woman. Favorite actors? The usual suspects: RDJ, Malkovich, DDL, Spacey, Depp, etc.

And of course, THE FORD.
