What new/upcoming games do you most anticipate playing?

Here's mine, and yes it's only games for sytems I have, which is basically just The Wii and PC.

1. New Super Mario Bros Wii: Horrible name for a Mario game, but it's the Wii game I want the most right now. 4 player Mario co op? Awesome, first 2D Mario on home consoles in almost 20 years? It's about friggin time. Even the Koopa kids are back, sweet.

2. Super Mario Galaxy 2: People are gonna criticize this game for being more of the same, but that's exactly what I want, this looks less like a sequel and more like an expansion, and for a game that could really use one. I'm hoping this will be even better than the first, not to mention, YOSHI IN SPAAAAAAAAACE.

3. Zelda Wii: Yes, that's only the working title. Yes, I don't know anything about it. Yes, there's not even a screenshot of it yet. But it's Zelda, and that's all I need to know. Unlike Twilight Princess this one is being made with the Wii specifically in mind so I'm hoping for even more intuitive use of motion sensing controls and a grander Hyrulian experience overall. It's about time for that next revolutionary Zelda game that breaks down as many doors for new possibilities as LTTP and OOT did before it. But even if it's not that and just another solid Zelda adventure, I'm perfectly fine with that too.

4. Sin & Punishment 2: I have never played the first game (a lot of people haven't since it was only released in Japan), yet I'm still hyped for this. It has great visuals and some insane set pieces and why shouldn't it? It's Treasure afterall, And being a Treasure game alone is enough reason to want it. These guys seem to be incapable of making a bad game, and if they can take Ronald McDonald of all people and put him in a decent game, they can do anything.

5. Epic Mickey: You hear me right, one of my most anticipated games for 2010 is a game starring Mickey Mouse. But give the little guy a chance, he's been in some great platformers back in the day, so I have a right to be excited. Not to mention, the guy making the game? Warren Spector and yes, that Warren Spector. The world will be made up of forgotten Disney characters, theme park attractions and scrapped movie concepts, it's like what would happen if Walt's filing cabinet came to life, the game will allow Mickey to create things with a paint brush (Okami style) and it will mix 3D and 2D platforming, you'll also be able to jump into movie projectors (like the paintings in Mario 64) where you'll revisit some of Mickey's classic cartoon shorts. Also there's a good and evil theme like Fable II, if you do good deeds, you'll turn into the wholesome family entertainment Mickey as we know him today, if you do bad deeds, you turn into the mischievous classic 1920s Mickey. How cool is that?

6. Project Needlemouse: That's the working title for the next Sonic game, which will be a 2D sidescroller possibly in the style of the old Genesis games... Alright Sega, I'll bite, I'm giving you ONE more chance, just please, pleeeeease, don't f*ck it up. And by that I mean don't let Sonic Team make it.

7. Metroid: Other M: A 2D AND 3D Metroid platformer, that sounds killer. But the fact that Team Ninja is making it does give me some doubts. Itagaki if you're reading this, I like high difficulty and I like Samus's boobs, but please don't overdo it.

8. Excitebike World Rally: Aside from the obvious graphical face lift, this looks just like the old NES classic, but with the one thing that game didn't have, multiplayer. Finally a game I can get my mom to play with me......... awesome.

9. Pikmin 3: Pikmin 2 was close to perfection and there's only one thing I really want from the sequel, MOAR! Well actually, optional 2 player co op for the main game is a real no brainer.

10. Rocket Night: This would be a lot higher if I didn't see the trailer, which left me disappointed, don't get me wrong, it dosen't look bad, it's just not the Sparkster game I was hoping for. But hey, it still looks like a solid platformer and as long as you give me the rocket pack, I'm cool.

11. Kirby Wii: This would be higher but I'm not even sure if this game is ever gonna come out, it's been in production for 5 years and it just might go the way of Duke Nukem Forever.

Super Street Fighter IV would also be on this list, IF I had a 360. :(

did you ever try the remake on the 64? was one of the better titles for the system.

the only games i'm really looking forward to in the near future are the expansion for Dawn of War2 and Final Fantasy 13. i'll mention Starcraft 2 since it's slated for the first half of 2010 but i figure we'll all be lucky if we can fight for public beta testing access this time next year.

FINAL FANTASY 13

I'm actually buying a PS3 just for this game =|

Dragon Age: Origins is the game I'm looking forward to playing... it's meant to be the 'spiritual successor' to the Baldur's Gate series and seems to be receiving a hell of a lot of praise. I already have it. And I recently bought Super Mario All Stars for SNES from an auction site.

I'm not going to play either until after exams though.

oh, and the first two posts must look pretty amusing to anyone who can't see the deleted post in between :D

Right now... really just the Black Mesa total conversion of the original Half-Life. Take Half-Life 1, add updated graphics and physics along with new areas and that makes a very happy me.
