It's annoying me that at the moment 'Moon' is MB's favourite film of 2009.

Inglourious Basterds was in another league to that. Even 500 Days Of Summer > Moon.

We're a bunch of music snobs so it seems fitting to me to act like movie snobs too...

Drag me to Hell was initially the worst movie I had ever seen. Then the guys at Rifftrax dubbed over it and then it became one of the funniest. If you haven't seen it yet, just find the rifftax version, don't bother seeing the real one.

Anyway, I voted for Zombieland because Bill Murray was awesome.

May as well. I know why Moon is the favourite film of MB members, for the reason you said earlier. It just winds me up, I didn't enjoy it that much but it was still a well made film and well acted, but there are about 4 better made films.

Damn you music/movie snobs!

I couldn't finish Moon. My friend suggested it to me and said it was one of the best movies she has seen in a while. I don't see how.

Well you loved Zombieland so that makes sense...

I would have Moon third on my list after District 9 and Inglourious Basterds, but then again I haven't watched The Hurt Locker or Bad Lieutenant yet...

I'll go you one better - I'm yet to see Avatar. I've been waiting til the hype surrounding it fucks off, now is about the time to settle down and watch it. I'm not expecting much, so I'll probably enjoy it. I'm thinking of buying it on DVD because it's a cinematic experience and I have a big TV, so watching it on my TV would be a better idea than on my laptop.

My favourites from 2009:
Inglourious Basterds
500 Days Of Summer
Adventureland
Sherlock Holmes
An Education
