People are divided on their opinion, I just wish they would've ironed out the really simple mistakes. I don't know how Scorsese made a mistake like Dicaprio swimming to the lighthouse and then when he got there his clothes were dry. Quite extraordinary really..
Maybe that's just another clue that the character was insane.

Insanity gives you the ability to swim in water but not get wet?

No, but it gives you the ability to have hallucinations where that happens.

It was just a mistake by Scorsese, there were quite a few in Shutter Island. Like when his 3 children died, the daughter was still breathing. Saying they were deliberate because it's another hint that he was insane would be generous to old Marty. Far too many mistakes in Shutter Island but I still enjoyed it.

Well it's a crappy movie either way. I was just pointing out that the clothes thing might have been intentional.

I think there were too many mistakes for that one to be intentional. It's not a crappy movie it was entertaining enough, I like the psychological thriller genre.. The mistakes were a bit of a joke considering who made the film though.

Two sides:

Serious - District 9, hands down. (slight bias maybe)
Not serious (at all) - Zombieland.

I cant even believe Drag Me To Hell made it onto that list! It was awful..

I liked 500 Days of Summer the most, but there were so many films on that poll that I'd never even seen before so it was hard to choose.

I enjoyed Where The Wild Things Are. But it was incredibly sad.

Really? I heard from so many people it was great, and when I finally saw it I was really disappointed. Not because it was bad, because it wasnt, if anything it was too good, but because it wasnt satisying at all. It was too good to be the kind of movie that it was, and I found it sad that it wasnt at all as fun as the book had been. It was far too deep.

That probably doesnt make any sense.
