True Blood

Okay, how is there not a thread for this show already?

I'm not really into vampires but somehow I got really addicted to this show.
I have this strange attraction to Eric that I can't explain.. does anyone else feel that?
I really love Jason, I just wish he wasn't so dumb.
Is anyone else really glad that Marianne is goneso?
Who are your favorite characters?

Erich is pretty foxy in a weird sort of way. The queen too--that bitch has style. Looking forward to seeing more of her in the upcoming season. And Lafayette is just awesome.

I dunno. It's a dumb show--takes itself a little too seriously--but I kind of like it despite myself.

I love the show...then again I love most things having to do with vampires. Except the Twilight bull****. True Blood is so raunchy...it amazes me what we can get away with in TV shows these days.

I'm still trying to figure out if it is better than the all time best vampire show, Buffy. I'm a total nerd, I know.

NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooo!

How the fuck do you people watch this show? I saw one episode and it was so awful I couldn't manage more than ten minutes. AND I WAS HIGH AT THE TIME!

Lol, the pilot was horrendous, and the characters are so poor. Take away the sex and it wouldn't be popular at all.

Vampires have been destroyed this past decade by everyone claiming them as being cool and zombies aren't far behind.

duga 04-09-2010 03:10 PM

Whoa, chill.

Is it really a stretch that people would like the show? It is a hit, after all. What was so bad about it, exactly?

What's with the influx of vampire-related stuff recently? The Vampire Diaries, True Blood etc. Did it all spawn from the fangirls love of that twighlight trash?

I watched the first episode of True Blood but didn't find it engrossing enough to merit another watch.

What happened to the days of Blade? back when vampires were bad ass and not pretty boys who gel their hair, wear designer clothes and listen to their ipod nano while stalking their prey.

It's not just bad acting and a poor storyline. It's really turning into this stereotypical cookie-cutter male soap opera for guys to masturbate to. Cut out the sex and violence and you have ZERO reason to watch the show. Same goes for that piece of shit Spartacus show.

The first Blade was good...the rest were absolutely horrible. I'll agree the pilot wasn't that great, but some friends were having a marathon with it so I ended up watching the whole season. Two or three episodes in, I was hooked.

I'm very wary about vampire stuff just because of Twilight and the Vampire Diaries and all that BS...but True Blood is a winner, IMO.

Really? I'll agree the first blade was the best but I loved them all.

Meh, like I say, the first episode wasn't good enough to make me want to watch it again but it wasn't terrible either. I just feel like all this vampire stuff is to commercial..for lack of a better word. I mean Blade was hardly groundbreaking cinema but all this new vampire stuff feels like it's marketed directly at the same group of people who are watching Glee, 90210.. it's like, if Vampires were endorsed by MTV.
