Seriously? Why do you think that? Not even did I find it not as good, a few of the changes made completely destroyed the story and made it nonsensical... I really preferred the original one.

1. Bladerunner- Just saw it at the cinema again last year digitally enhanced and it was a revelation in moviemaking.

2. Amadeus- F Murray Abraham and Tom Hulce were exceptional and this movie is definitely worthy of any top 5.

3. Papillon- Steve Mcqueen and Dustin Hoffman and an overall great story with historical leanings.

4. The Godfather- One of the greatest movies ever on any list. I feel the acting in this movie stands up today to anything ever made.

5. Chinatown- not sure why on this one, i just love the boldness of Nicholsons character and this movie in general.

Honorable mention to Citizen Kane which i'm sure i'll be punished for in a different life.

I forgot The Thing, what an absolute thriller it was. I used to watch it on laser disc over and over as a kid. Yeah i said laser disc. :rofl:

The Thing is awesome.
Escape From New York is another favorite of mine as well.
