Playstation 3 games
I just bought this sucker and need some recommendations for games, so recommend some games that are either:
1. Easily playable (I don't want to be spending too much time learning how to play) and don't require too much intellectual effort, 2. Multiplayer games which also satisfy the above criteria so my friends and I can have superawesome fun whilst being totally wasted. Also, I've searched a bit online for pirated games and it seems most have loads of issues. Has anyone got any experience in this regard/can recommend some respectable places where to download issue-free games and how exactly does this work (I download it, transfer it to the PS3? I guess I need a cable for that right?). Tell me everything game-masters, I am reverting back to my youth and need your help...(: |
Easy is a very personal thing.
I love Red Dead Redemption and Gran Turismo 5. And so do my friends :D |

Okay, check out the PS3 Exclusives
Uncharted 1 and 2 Little Big Planet 2 forget one it's pretty much the same but 2 has way more options. God of War 3 Heavy Rain Infamous Heavenly Sword. As far as mutli-player I don't know if you are into first person shooters but I'm sure someone else could rec you a few of those to check out. I don't do FPS. you may also want to check out Rock Band for multi-player experience with your friends great for getting drunk and singing/playing "Living on a prayer" |

If you were to get only one game get Uncharted 2 though. An absolute must play. |
I already bought Littlebigplanet (one) which is what inspired condition number 1. It seems like a neat little game, but I spent some 45 minutes going through the intro/training. We want to avoid stuff like that.
Think retarded but fun guys, we can discuss superawesome games with insane durability when I take a month of vacation. My primary aim with this for now is mindless fun....preferably whilst wasted... What about some retro arcades? |

Google Image Result for http://www.videogamesnewyork.com/images/Sonics_Ultimate_Genesis_Collection.jpg Just an example. They have been updated with better graphics but are still very fun to play. Lately i've been playing Bulletstorm and Crysis 2, both very fun games i would recommend. |
I just got one myself, some of the games I got where...
Killzone (Must BUY) God of War 3 - Really easy to play FIFA 11 - Always fun Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 |
I googled a bit and Flower, Burnout and Wipeout HD seem to fit what I'm looking for. Searched for downloads a bit, all fucked. Guess I'm gonna have to buy most of this stuff...aye?

Mgs 4?

Flower is the easiest game in the world, and can be downloaded for a mere 10 dollars from the Playstation Store. I HIGHLY recommend it, it's one of the most beautiful, uplifting, and subtly powerful things I have ever experienced. Other good downloadable titles are Zen Pinball, Pixeljunk Monsters, and Fat Princess (has multiplayer!).
As far as disc-based games go, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a very, very easy first-person shooter to play. Its simple controls, exciting campaign, and addictive multiplayer are what have made it and other COD games such a success. Uncharted 2 is also fantastic, and not overly difficult. It does, however, require a decent amount of problem solving. A good RPG at a low price is The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Hours upon hours of replay value there, and it's not too hard to pick up and play. If you like racing games, Burnout: Paradise is a pretty fun (and affordable) option. The nice thing about that one is that it's open world, so you can refine your driving skills by just driving around and learning the city. |
Heavy Rain is pretty tight, if you just get super high. It's pretty much an interactive movie.
Or ratchet and clank:future tools of destruction is a lotta fun |
Heavy Rain as I think I've said in the video game thread is one that you shouldnt buy, but rent for a few days. Once you've 'played' it once, there isnt much need to do so again. Even the multiple (and there are MANY) endings can be triggered without having to replay the entire game, you only really make any difference in the last hour or two of 'gameplay'.
Fifa 11 is a perfect game for your needs, assuming you like football. Its easy to play, and such a good laugh when you have your mates round or online. If you want general game recommendations, Batman: Arkham Asylum is a great game, the Call of Duty games (start with Modern Warfare, then Black Ops, then World at War, and finally Modern Warfare 2 - thats the order that I put them in in terms of how much I enjoyed them), Skate 3 - easily the best skateboarding game released ever I'd say, even over THPS2 from the PS1 days. And the Assassin's Creed games, you should get 1 for the story, but the gameplay is nowhere near as good as it is in 2 and Brotherhood, which are two of the best games released so far on PS3 (that havent been mentioned already). |
For stupid fun, I cannot recommend the Katamari games higly enough. It's addictive, fun, and bizarre. Very, very easy to play. You basically roll your katamari around and accumulate stuff.
I've spent 6+ hours playing it with friends on numerous occasions. |

Oh my fucking god. I've just been playing Littlebigplanet for the past 4 hours with a friend on acid and this is the best fucking thing ever...the colours, the endless fun, the music, the fun, my god the FUNNN!! <33333

if you're gonna get a Move, try Playstation Move Heroes - i loved that one
|
Since you're enjoying LittleBigPlanet, go ahead and get LBP2. It's got better creation tools, access to community levels made with said tools (if you don't like making levels), and everything that you collected so far in the first game will be transferred over.
|
Oh definitely. (:
