Dude, The Avengers movie is gonna suck. Look at how they're just pumping out the Thor and Captain America movies without any attempt at making them good movies just so they can make the The Avengers movie. I doubt that The Avengers movie is gonna be any better than Captain America. God that movie ****ing sucked.

Howard the Duck 09-18-2011 02:11 AM

i liked Captain America

Cate Blanchett is one of the most underrated actresses of our time, but things like this really do nothing for her as a performer. I actually loathe when LOTR inspired / Hobbit films come out, because I feel it slowly chips away at Miss Blanchett's credibility.

Yeah, Elves in general don't offer very challenging roles for actors, since their (visual) emotional depth is about the same as the Rings of Power's, but I think Galadriel is a bit of an exception due to the power struggle within her as a result of her possession of one of the Elven rings.

Most elves in middle earth are you usually one dimensional characters anyway, so not much depth needed like say a human character.

I really should read the book. Am I the only one who hasn't read it?
