I don't understand when the big changeover happened, and people stopped loving Zooey Deschanel, and started hating her for portraying a negative image of females or whatever the **** you people are talking about. She's playing a character that people like to watch. Sitcoms aren't supposed to have 'substance', they are supposed to be entertaining, and the show is.

Wow that really is fictional!

I don't think I could live around Zooey Deschanel, it would be too distracting sexually!

LOL!

As someone who grew up in the '80s I failed to detect the 'Buck Rogers' vibe of that outfit thinking it was normal... sorry.

To be fair, the show has kind of grown into itself now and caught its stride. Part of the appeal now are the supporting characters, particular Schmidt. Also, she's not nearly as ditzy now as she was in the first couple of episodes. Now she's mostly just optimistically naive.

I tried to watch an episode of this, and my face was frozen in disturbed confusion as to whether or not what I was seeing could be considered humour.

That's how I felt after watching an episode of the Big Bang Theory.

I enjoyed the first season when the characters were still naive and socially childish, but it quickly dropped downhill as they began to develop relationships and change as characters to a point where I no longer found their behaviour relatable in any sense.

That's the thing about writing a great character: they have to be someone that you can see yourself in, or someone that you know personally. Humour is about relating.

There's only one reason we red-blooded young lads tuned in to "Buck Rogers in the 25th century" every week. Guess?
