Although I wouldn't mind changing it so that America had a battleship at Hawaii and a carrier on the west coast, which would be more accurate than the way it is now. |

i used to play the PC version of Monopoly as well
but it just wasn't the same, even if you don't need to find at least 3 people to play it with |

Though, there's no reason the game can't feature custom scenarios with specific rules or deployments. Have a properly balanced game as the default standard, then for those who want a proper historical recreation including the military imbalances - slightly modified rules and starting conditions. I know with Risk the game normally had a few different scenarios or custom options in the rules, I have to assume A&A does as well, or at least, hopefully added something of the sort in the most recent revisions. |

You can play with it set to Axis advantage where the Japs begin with "super subs" and the Germans have "Jet Power" |
Reviving this old, dead thang because I'm developing my own tabletop RPG system. It's something I dabble with a bit when I have the time so I don't really have a lot of documentation on it, but there is enough to get people playing. I'm currently running a campaign that uses this system.
The core rules are pretty much in place, there is a character sheet and if you're gonna run a campaign you've designed yourself and haven't settled on a system, then this might be fun. Plus, I could use some playtesters :) Let me know if you're interested. |
Are there any online table top RPGs? If so, it'd be cool to have our own MB guild or whatever. I know there are computer programs/apps to use for RPG dice rolls, so I imagine online table top RPGs must exist.
Edit: Oh, and about that old Axis and Allies debate, has anyone ever played the spinoffs? There was an updated version of the original that had artillery, destroyers, refined rules, a penalty for if either the Russians or Japanese attacked each other -- to more accurately simulate the realities of their relationship in the war, and I'm sure other things I'm forgetting. There was also an A&A game based on D-Day that was pretty fun. |
