FFXII was a huge disappointment for me, especially after loving FFX...hard. The main problem is the lack of a tangible love story, which is actually a trickle-down effect of no character development whatsoever. I so recommend FFX if you end up not making it through FFXII.
However, you should at least try to get to the ending of FFXII, because I think it is the ending that Square has done the best out of all the FF games. When I say best, I mean that all the loose ends are tied and you're not left wondering "wtf"? |

FFXII was so good imo. It reminded me heavily of a Star Wars epic without the silly love story.

I had kind of a Love/Hate relationship with FF XII. I wasn't really into the battles until I started getting the grasp of the gambit system, but even then it still was to MMO for me. I finished it, and enjoyed my time with it for the most part but it's just kind of iffy to me.
FFX is really good, the battle system is so fun. I really liked the Summons in X and how you could control them. The ones you could get in side quests were so bad ass. I have thought about re playing it for awhile but I just can't really stand Tidus whiny moments haha Quote:
This game is awesome, but sheet I don't think I ever finished it though. Kind of got similar vibea from this gem of the ps2 era. I played this game and the sequel so much way back when. The weapon building was really cool

FFX was one of the best in the series (and is getting an HD makeover that is coming out at the end of this year... I'm all over that)... But XII was very underrated in my opinion. It looked awesome as one of the last few games released on the PS2 and it did the battle system of FFXI some justice for those that didn't get to try it. Every FF has some cheesy love story, so it was actually refreshing for me to not have to deal with it. ALL the characters were important and had their own reasons to be there and develop.

Hell yes... Unfortunately it's too easy now since I remember how to solve all the puzzles but still a classic. Sometimes I need to take a break from action and just so something that requires brainpower. Riven was also a ton of fun... And a lot harder.
