O Brother Where Art Thou? and You Are My Sunshine (though all of the songs from that film could count, I'd never heard any of them outside of the film).

John Waters seared some rather disturbing (and disgustingly funny) images in my mind with his use of "Surfin' Bird" by The Trashmen and "(How Much is) That Doggie in the Window" by Patti Page. :yikes:

Anyone who's seen Pink Flamingos should know exactly what I'm talking about. :laughing:

Uh yeah its the very first song when hes on the bike.

The first time I saw it, the last 10-15 minutes of that movie completely freaked me out in a very bad way.

Something about this song and school halls just works. it's tied to youth and even innocence and the reminiscent feeling of old school days.

Me too Chula, it was one of the most memorable scenes of the movie for me.



I luv this song! They play this song when she is escaping her coffin and it fits perfectly, the song reflects she knows she's not giving up, it conveys her resolve and rise, i think Robert Rodriguez being a fan of Quintin scored this movie perfectly.

I can't listen to this without hearing "Right, twelve degrees" in my head. It's from the original Heavy Metal movie.

I remember, as soon as i finished seeing this movie i went online to search for this song.

If you know the movie you'll know why the lyrics are great.
