For a multiplayer game it seems to discourage friends playing together unless they just so happen to be of a similar talent level.

yeah duo queuing ranked seems like a recipe for a disaster

luckily league has a really solid norms mode with draft. overwatch was a lot worse because quick play is garbage and duoing in ranked makes it really hard to climb (dwn and i experienced this first hand.)

As much as I like LoL I guess I'm not made for ranked cause my first instinct is to give the middle finger to rankings and just play with friends on any mode.

On a serious note, I feel like I can play longer when solo queueing. I go at my own pace, listen to music, and don't have to communicate all of which allow me to focus more on improving my game play. Team play is a whole other beast that I don't have much interest in. I've always enjoyed the challenge of human decision making but playing with others is never as enjoyable.

Also, agreed. Norms in LOL is sooo much better than OW. It's great for friends messing around. 1v1v1 with you and elph was pretty damn fun though.

Camille backed out early game so we were 4v5 down and we went 50mins back and forth, mad trading and CC, everyone was fed.

Was completely fed by the 35 min mark after constant pushing.

Me and Teemo stomped the def, put three on revive cooldown, pushed up through the Inhibitors while the rest of the team held fort.

Just obliterated the last two turrets and got a very cheeky win.

I've had two of these experiences of far, first was a toxic sociopath who spent the whole game complaining and blaming others on his lane for him being ganked after constantly pushing past tower any chance he got.

We just won by a hair and he went 0/11/2.


The other one I had was today. All 4 players on my team were constantly arguing with each other, hurling out Ad hominems, blaming each other for 'feeding the monkeys' etc

I pushed top ADC, went 5/1/0, saw I was the only one with any kills or progress past the first tower.

Then I saw the enemy team push mid together, my team chase them back to enemy tower and get stomped (as they all thought they were playing support at that moment in time for some reason) and then they sat at spawn hurling insults at each other in chat.

Needless to say, at the 15 min mark, I grew tired of the childish bs and fu*ked off to re-queue.

Then randomly off the bat at the 30 min mark we all just pushed mid and won...
