theyre also running sorcery (aery) as their keystone and then taking minion dematerializer as one of their secondaries to fix wave clear issues.

not bad, builds seems a lot more teamfight focused.

minion dematerialized is 150% worth it when youre absolutely obliterating waves later in the game. it makes roaming so much easier.

i played some ali and morg games last night and god dammit is support actually kinda fun when you aren’t playing something lame

hitting ali’s combo or headbutting people under your tower is just like the greatest feeling ever.

i feel like the upside to playing support is that your team will never have to deal with the autofilled supp or the troll supp who swears nasus is actually good in the role.

he just has the smoothest combo in the game i swear, e flash q then w towards your team and get off enough stacks to stun by that point. ctrl 3 to take out the cowbell. gg.

Flash-Charge-Knock is how I remember him being used to initiate. Team knock ups OP. What are these stacks and stuns you speak of?

yeah there’s a way you can flash charge knock up but whenever i try that **** i end up sending the target away from my team, so i’ll only do that if its a tank peeling for their squishies. from the guides ive watched knock up first is the standard combo as it ensures you can get in behind them to headbutt them.

his e is trample which gains a stack for each person within range until he reaches 5 stacks at which point his next auto stuns. i also e before engaging so that i can get as many stacks as early as possible.

hexflesh is also really cool to run on him as it ensures you always have flash of some sort up in order to engage.

I do it the newb way too, because I suck at timing the combo, but it sounds like E has changed a lot since I played, and hexflash wasn't a thing either.. I think from the few times I played with you, its a belt? I remember kennen having some sot of crazy long range initiate.

you’re thinking probelt. that’s an AP item with an active that works as a gap closer by projecting you forward. Kennen, Ekko, and Vladamir all use it. basically champs that need that extra little bit of engage.

hexflash is a rune that gives you a lesser version of flash while the sum is on cooldown. basically hexflash brings you slightly less far than normal flash and also requires you to charge it up for 3-5 seconds. works while botlane though because you can channel it in a bush and then jump in behind the adc.

mage items were reworked in 8.7(?) think that’s when protobelt was introduced. i like the item.

hexflesh was a part of the new rune system which i can’t really comment on since my experience with the old system was rather brief. although i do think the new system is way simpler to newer players especially since it doesnt require level 30 to fully utilize.

did they not change it during the rework or was it just really used that little?

i like scarra although i tend to not watch him very often. i’ll watch the video after work, interested to hear his thoughts. i can already think of a handful of benefits.

which is totally true. stuff like Klepto essentially existing solely for Ez is proof of it. or all other ADCs running nothing but fleet footwork. it offers a lot less “choice” and a lot more “you need to pick this to compete”

I like the old rune system better which just provided extra stats to help enable the way you planned to play the character. For instance, just enough stats to hit breakpoints, defense versatility depending if enemy laner is ap or ad, +dmg to enable cs farm...

All this new stuff just seems too hard to balance on top of champs and gear. Scrap it, put the cool stuff on gear, and force people make harder build decisions.

new marksman update has led to bruiser botlane being the new go to in high elo. a lot of irelia, yasuo, mordekaiser etc. being played with **** like Ali or Leoana support.

played my first games in forever last night

was pretty fun. tore **** up with tristana cuz ofc the new weird funnel strats aren’t all that relevant at low elo.

second game i tried the new aatrox, he’s alright. plays essentially just like riven although tbh i think he’s more viable and requires slightly less mechanical ability. not to mention his ult makes him much more forgivable.

if you’re a fan of totally removing half of what makes a champion unique and making him into a clone of an already successful champion

they kept his revive in the form of his ult which will revive you so long as you trigger it before you die

and rather than his e being a toggle ability it’s now a passive that heals you and an active dash

the new meta isn’t that fun to play but it’s a ****ing blast to watch. i’ve been loving pro play lately. the team comps are wild since now pretty near any champ can be viable. and the funnel comps lead to some super whacky things like Graves with smite mid with alistar jungle and a karma and taric bot lane

graves ends up with like 300 farm at the 20 min mark and the chain cc lets him basically 1vs5 forever

funnel comp is part of the new meta. it’s the approach where you aim to let your midlaner take jg camps and your jungler plays as second support. then your botlane consits of two high dmg supps ideally something like rakan and morg. take a carry top laner too. typical comp atm for this strat would look like

top - aatrox/yasuo/renekton/etc
jg - braum/ali/leona
mid - kaisa/tristana/
bot - some combo of like karma/morg/rakan/sometimes even donger
